Argyle House Is The Newest Addition To The Southern Sydney Dining Scene

Argyle House is Camden’s newest hospitality venue, located in the restored heritage-listed building Whiteman’s Arcade, which burned down in 2020. The rebuild highlights a reinvestment in the dining scene outside Sydney's metropolitan area—showcasing multiple dining areas, rooftop domes, and a menu that embraces Camden’s evolving food culture.

Owners Nicole and Morney Schlebusch are passionate about invigorating the local community, as well as “drawing diners from across NSW and beyond as a landmark dining destination”.

Experience and storytelling is at the core of the venue, with each distinct space built around exceptional guest experience and service. Their multiple event spaces, including private dining rooms, are designed to host a variety of functions, including weddings and end-of-year celebrations.

The unique dining dome experience allows guests to engage in theatrical, rooftop private dining, showcasing a different curated seven-course menu every night.

The menu is grounded in modern Australian cuisine: chargrill cooking, umami flavours, and local seasonal ingredients. Top picks include the large selection of premium Australian steaks grilled over flame, caramelised miso Patagonian toothfish marinated for three days, and a supplementary Japanese menu with sushi and sashimi favourites.

To satisfy that sweet tooth, their decadent desserts cover all bases—try their rich malva pudding, deconstructed pavlova, or pistachio cheesecake. Wash it all down with their curated wine list covering regional labels, or sip on signature cocktails like the Camden Clover with reposado tequila, red shiso, watermelon and toasted rice.

In addition to restaurant dining, Argyle House's high tea offering is the perfect sophisticated afternoon outing. Think handcrafted pastries, savoury nibbles, and high-quality loose-leaf teas served with an air of vintage elegance.

Argyle House is where “modern luxury meets historic charm”—open daily, reservations are available here for both local foodies, and Sydney-siders on the hunt for an outing.
