If learning cheese skills, sipping sparkling and taking home close to one kilogram of cheese sounds like your type of jam, listen up. Omnom Cheese is back to bring you the ultimate masterclass on all things burrata and bocconcini.
This beginner's class will see you stretching, folding and “balling” your way to melt-in-your-mouth levels of perfection—all while sipping on bubbles, of course. Classes are also COVID-safe with plenty of space for 4sqm per participant and stepped-up cleaning processes.
As for the cheese, it’s all about “pasta filata”, so you’ll get the low-down on milk selection, using store-bought milk, acidification, coagulation and finally, turning the curds into glossy bocconcini and creamy, oozy burrata.
The 90-minute class includes all the theory you’ll need to be able to recreate cheese at home (and show off to your cheese fiend mates), as well as aforementioned kilo of cheese to take home and feast on, a recipe booklet, bottomless bubbles and 20% off Omnom’s DIY cheese making kits on the night.
Classes are hosted regularly, but check in here for dates, times and to book your spot. Side note: if halloumi is your thing, there are also halloumi-making classes (with bubbles) on the roster too.
