Come hungry and bring your dancing shoes. Parramatta Lanes is back for four free nights, taking over the CBD from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 October, from 5pm each night.

Laneways and car parks become the main event. Everyday spaces are turned into food stalls, bars, stages and art spaces across more than 20 festival sites. Last year, 400,000 people showed up over four nights, which makes this one of Sydney's biggest and most innovative street festivals.

Beats

If live music is your love language, this one needs to be on your radar. There are 10 music stages hosting more than 400 international, national and local artists.

Live music and DJs pop up across the main stages and pop-up locations. That means the soundtrack changes depending on which corner of the city you wander into.

Eats

Forget scrolling for dinner spots. More than 70 street food vendors are on the map, with strong local representation and a few viral TikTok names in the mix.

The food stalls and bars are set up in spaces that are usually just a laneway or a car park. It makes grazing your way through the night easy, and you can grab a drink between stops.

Art

Keep your eyes peeled, because the art is hard to miss. Expect giant art installations, along with light installations and interactive experiences.

Roving entertainment and quirky activations also turn up in unexpected corners of the city. Rooftops, car parks and public spaces are reimagined as destinations, so everyday laneways turn into full-blown block parties after dark.

Made For Wandering

Parramatta Lanes is a celebration of the arts, music, food and culture scene in Parramatta and Western Sydney. It brings together people from all walks of life, and it reflects many of the qualities that define the city today.

It's also a good excuse to explore. The festival shows off Parramatta's mix of heritage and innovation, its diverse communities, and the people and places that shape its evolving identity. It encourages people to discover more of the CBD, including its local businesses.

Culture, community, dining and entertainment all come together in one spot, and you can move between them as you please.

Plan Your Night

Parramatta Lanes is free and runs from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 October across Parramatta CBD. Wednesday and Thursday nights run from 5pm to 10pm, while Friday and Saturday go until 10.30pm.

With more than 20 sites, 10 stages and 70-plus food vendors, it pays to check the program before you head out. You can explore what's on and plan your visit here.
