Look, we love our healthy rivalry with our neighbours down south. But every now and then, Sydney comes up with an idea that’s simply too good not to borrow.

Case in point? Babylon Nights.

After becoming a Saturday night staple at Babylon Sydney, the free weekly after-dark affair has officially landed at Babylon Brisbane, bringing live DJs, belly dancers, fire twirlers and more to the Eagle Street stunner every Saturday from 6pm.

You can forget squeezing in dinner before heading out now that Babylon Nights is on the cards. The evening escalates effortlessly, with DJs getting the tempo ticking before belly dancers weave and wiggle through the room, gliding between tables with mesmerising grace. Then, just when you think you’ve seen it all, fire twirlers quite literally turn up the heat.

It’s delightfully dramatic, but anyone who’s been to Babylon knows that it’s always had a flair for the theatrical. Despite sitting right on the banks of the Brisbane River, stepping inside feels more like stumbling into another corner of the world. A maze of arched walkways leads to hidden dining nooks, an open kitchen reveals chefs hard at work over the custom Turkish wood and charcoal grill, and the striking emerald-green marble bar anchors a room that’s clearly in the business of showing everyone a very good time.

Naturally, the menu rises to the occasion. Head chef Jesse Jacka’s Middle Eastern-inspired and East-Mediterranean fare celebrates the big, bold, smoky flavours of the Levant, with colourful mezze plates, flame-kissed meats and fresh seafood designed to be devoured amongst mates. Pair it with one of Babylon's signature cocktails—perhaps the citrusy Tower of Babel, a smoky Babylon Margarita or the much-loved Turkish Espresso Martini to kick-start your evening—and any notion of an early night slips off the agenda.

The beauty of Babylon Nights is that you don’t have to choose between dinner, drinks or a show—they all arrive together, wrapped up in one very memorable Saturday night out in Brisbane with some of the best views in town.

There’s no ticket or cover charge standing between you and the action, either. Babylon Nights is completely free every Saturday from 6pm. All you need to do is round up your favourite people, book a table and let Babylon take care of the rest.

Oh and before we forget, there is a special VIP offering for this epic evening, and if we were you we'd defintiely make sure to get on that list. From beverage inclusions to their signature mezze sharing platter featuring the likes of hummus, muhammara and warm bread, dolmas, house pickled vegetabes, haloumi skewers, lamb kofta and more, it's kind of a must.
