Back in February, we shared the news that Welcome To Bowen Hills was throwing a mega laneway gin festival, and told you to lock Saturday 4 April in your diaries. Well obviously that didn't go ahead (maybe you heard whispers of a pandemic?), but now the venue has announced a new date for the festival, with Saturday 19 September the day to circle in your calendar (probably just with pencil, because who knows what else could happen).

As previously announced, the Brisbane Gin Festival will be a boozy blowout that will span across an entire day (which means you can start sipping on the good stuff from 12pm) and is loaded with stalls, tastings and all the signature cocktails you could need to kickstart your weekend.

You can also expect local and international gin juggernauts like Adelaide Hills, Brookie’s Gin, Four Pillars, Gordon’s, Hayman’s, Larrikin Gin, Manly Spirits Co. and Tanqueray, with a whole heap more to be announced closer to the day. Entry will be free but you will need to pre-purchase tokens to redeem cocktails at each store.

Alongside the festival, which is also dog-friendly, these guys will stock over 60 gins at the main bar and yes, The Gin Boutique will be offering take-home and postal sales of any gin you grow emotionally attached to.

Now we don't know just yet if there will be limits on the number of people who can be there at anyone time, as plenty can happen in four months time. For now though, you can head over here to click 'Interested' so you'll be the first to hear any announcements.

The Details
