Brisbane’s Best Soups

Soup is a yearlong dish, but let’s be real, it’s best enjoyed in winter. Soup on a cold rainy day is the perfect antidote to winter blues, best enjoyed tucked up in a warm blanket watching reality TV on Netflix. So as the months (fingers crossed) begin to cool down, we thought what better time than now to round up the best soups in Brisbane? Let’s do this!

#1 Ramen Champion

Sunny Bank

Oh ramen, you really are the bomb. Is there nothing better than a soup that calls for socially acceptable slurping and messiness? Ramen Champion has an endless list of ramen on offer, and the chicken one just hits the spot in the winter months. Don’t forget to add the garlic. And the chilli. For traditionalists, the pork ramen is also an obvious winner too.

#2 Dello Mano

New Farm

Dello Mano is more than just a pretty-perfect-brownie mecca, guys. They also kill it in the savory game. Soup in particular.  For a soup that is made daily and guaranteed to hit the spot, look no further than Dello Mano. All your fave soup tipples are served up here, including Potato and Leek and French Onion, plus all the classics.

#3 Gramercy Espresso & Eats

Gramercy Espresso & Eats sure know how to keep us coming back for more. Good coffee? Check. Good soup? Check, again! Gramercy knows how we like our soup too: served up with fresh crusty bread and a coffee that doesn’t suck. We love that they stick to the classics with soup, like pumpkin and French onion. Plus, their location in Wintergarden means we can pick up even more cute additions to our winter wardrobe.

#4 Spring Hill Deli And Café

Spring Hill

Spring Hill Deli and Café know their way around a good soup. If a takeaway soup is more your thing, or if a dine-in soup over a long gossip and a bottomless coffee is more your bag, never fear, Spring Hill Deli and Café will suit both.

#5 Taro’s Ramen

CBD and Ascot

Taro’s Ramen was obviously going to make it onto a round up of the best soup’s in Brisbane. Favoured by Japanese tourists and students, you know that this place is legit. With only Bangalow Sweetpork and Wagyu beef from their local butcher on offer, the flavour is high in these soups. Yum!

#6 Pamela’s Pantry

Pamela’s Pantry will hook you up with soup that’s both delicious and able to be consumed from the comfort of your bed, wrapped up in your doona. This situation is obviously ideal. Plus, with a daily range of fresh soups made from scratch, you know you know you’re onto a winner with Pamela’s Pantry’s soups in your belly.

#7 Jocelyn’s Provisions

New Farm

Perfect soup and crusty bread in the one spot? Yes please! Jocelyn’s has a fridge packed full of all the yummiest food offerings in the soup game. From traditional pumpkin-based soups to Asian-influenced chicken soups and your classic tomato, you’ll find them here at Jocelyn’s just waiting for you.

#8 Nha Hang Thanh Quyen

Does a best soup list that leaves Darra off, really equal a best soup list? Darra fave, Nha Hang Than Quyen serves up cheap, but most importantly delicious, Vietnamese pho to the soup lovers amongst us. Get set for some seriously heavenly broth guys.

#9 Quan Thanh

West End

Laksa is equal parts spicy, oversized and delicious. There’s really no better end to a day than a giant, spicy bowl of bright red laksa. Packed full of flavour, you can count on a steaming bowl of laksa to warm you up in the cooler months and to slay your hunger too. You can also count on Quan Thanh to bring you that tasty bowl of laksa. This is no frills attached, just delicious dining at its best.

#10 Fat Noodle

Fat Noodle knows their noodles, alright. With uber-famous chef Luke Ngyuen at the helm, you better believe these guys dish up an epic soup or two. The 20 hour pho is the stuff dreams are made of; the chicken and lemon grass wonton soup is seriously amazing and the rest of the menu will have you raving for at least the next year.
