An Ekka Drive-Thru Is Popping Up For Strawberry Sundaes And Dagwood Dogs

If the news of this year’s Ekka cancellation left you devastated that you might not be getting a beloved Bertie Beetle bag or a scrumptious Dagwood dog, you’re not alone.

Luckily, the RNA is bringing back their wildly popular Ekka Drive-Thru from this Saturday 14 August, with all of your favourite show treats on offer. After overwhelming support from the Queensland community (and hundreds of messages requesting a strawberry sundae drive-through), the showrunners made the decision to bring back the hugely successful event.

The drive-thru will run for nine days from 10am to 7pm, so you’ll have plenty of chances to pick up as many strawberry sundaes, Bertie Beetle showbags and Dagwood dogs as your heart (and stomach) desires.

There are double the drive-thru lanes this year so you shouldn’t have to wait too long to get your Ekka food fix. The RNA is also launching a special Ekka Tastes pop-up outlet on King Street for anyone who's visiting on foot.

This is the second year in a row the Ekka has been cancelled due to the pandemic so show your local community some love while enjoying some nostalgic tasty treats.  You can find out all the details here
