Your favourite couch-change event is happening again this month. Yep, Sunnybank $2 Food Trail is rocking into Brisbane on 22 June.
If you haven’t been to this one before, the set-up is pretty simple. A bunch of stalls and pop-ups serving all sorts of delicious stuff, and nothing costs more than a gold coin.
The Food Trail runs from 2pm to 8pm. We’re talking Chinese, Japanese, Hong Kong street cuisine, Korean fried snacks, steamed dumplings, chicken katsu everywhere—and every morsel will set you back just $2.
Sunnybank have already said that 2019 will be the biggest Food Trail known to humanity. There’s going to be a stage, live cooking demos and $8,888 in prizes (this is the Trail’s eight year running, and 8 is considered a lucky number…especially if you win all that money).
There’s going to be 45 different vendors this year, spilling out into a new outdoor dining precinct, right near the Sunnybank food court. Need recommendations? Look out for the Golden Dumpling, Juno Desserts, The Viet Place, Your Personal Chef, Vietnam Corner, Papa’s Pancakes and Mr Curry.
This is always a good night, and you don’t need tonnes of cash to fill up. Head down to 358 Mains Road in Sunnybank, and bring the shrapnel.
