Spring has sprung, and with it comes a renewed spring in our step as we pack our reusable bags and head off to our favourite markets. As the temperature begins to rise, so does our desire to get out and satisfy our market-trawling cravings. As we all know, October is prime market season—from the warm weather, to the fresh flowers in bloom and the early morning sunrises, nothing screams ‘it’s time for the markets’ quite like October does.

The local markets are the perfect spot to stock up on locally-grown, fresh produce, snag a unique handmade gift and feel totally smug that you’re up early on a weekend. Thankfully, we are blessed on the Gold Coast with an abundance of markets that will satisfy all your market-trawling cravings.

As the days get longer and the sun gets stronger, we’ve rounded up the best food, twilight, fashion and artisan markets happening on the Gold Coast this month.
