If there was ever a time to shop local, it's now. And there's plenty of the Gold Coast’s local growers, producers and makers back at the markets, ready to fill your fridge and pantry with the freshest produce you can buy.

So give the supermarket a miss and instead head to one of the Gold Coast’s best markets this weekend. We've updated our list with the markets that are currently open, as we ease out of coronavirus restrictions.

Twilight Markets

Get ready to binge on all your favourite street food this weekend, because Miami Marketta is back in action. Reopening to the public this Friday and Saturday night, it’ll be a little different to what you’re used to but the nosh will be deliciously the same. Instead of wandering through stalls and lining up on your feet, Miami Marketta have created a smaller street food market that you’ll actually be able to drive through. Pass under the neon-lit sign to the friendly faces of stallholders who will take your order. Then, you’ll get to hang in your car, pumping the tunes until they bring out the food and booze straight to your window. We could get used to this!

When: Friday 29 May and Saturday 30 May, 5pm to 8pm
Where: 23 Hillcrest Parade, Miami
