Sleep Tight: The Best Hotels To Stay At In Broadbeach

By Brooke Darling - 12 Nov 2015

Planning a trip to the Gold Coast? Bountiful Broadbeach has plenty of sweet hotels on offer, but so you don’t waste hours scouring the web and pulling your hair out, we’re here to help. From low-key escapes to happening joints, we’ve slept in every bed in town to bring you our pick of the best hotels in Broadbeach. Enjoy your stay!

Peppers Broadbeach

While some uninspiring hotel blocks lining the glitter strip have been around for donkey’s years… two impossible-to-ignore architectural towers mark the location of one of the Gold Coast’s best hotels. Peppers Broadbeach is one of those special places that’ll help score extra brownie points with your better half. We adored the hotel’s extra spacious one and two bedroom suites, swanky bathrooms complete with a spa, panoramic ocean or hinterland vistas from every room, balconies for sunset vinos, modern self-contained kitchens, cruiser bike hire, private movie theatrette, landscaped Zen gardens, and lap pool (for those holiday workouts to sweat out the cocktails of course!). And it certainly doesn’t hurt being a mere skip and a jump from Broadbeach’s white-sand shoreline and bustling restaurant scene. If you are rolling in dosh, book into a jaw-dropping penthouse suite then request a private chef to flick food at your face at the outdoor Teppanyaki BBQ. We’re quietly confident you’ll love Peppers Broadbeach just as much as we did.

Warm sun on your face, white fluffy robe and slippers, freshly baked croissants, and sparklingly mimosa served to a private deck overlooking turquoise waves of the Pacific Ocean–sound like your idea of vacation bliss? Us too! Conveniently positioned opposite the Gold Coast Convention Centre, Jupiters Casino, and a stone’s throw from the beach, the Sofitel brand brings its unmistakable five-star French sophistication to the Coast. We’re looking at you, Francophiles! All rooms have lofty floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors (so take care not to give a free show to the neighbours) with glittering ocean or city views. Downstairs, splash about in two glamourous pools or order an espresso martini from chef-hatted restaurant and bar, Room81. Date night anyone?

Jupiters Hotel & Casino

Big things are happening at one of the Coast’s oldest landmarks. Having just blown the candles on its celebratory 30th birthday cake, iconic Jupiters is undergoing a serious facelift by way of a $345-million transformation to existing accommodation, gambling rooms, restaurants, and soon, the addition of the Gold Coast’s first six-star hotel. Pack your finest for wining and dining on sashimi, sake, and cocktails at upmarket contemporary Japanese restaurant, Kiyomi, or devour Italian at chic white-on-white Cucina Vivo. Too languorous to stroll to the beach? It’s ok, we understand. The new pool, cabanas, and adjoining pool bar look damn inviting if we do say so ourselves. Majority of the existing rooms have already been re-vamped as part of the country’s most valuable hotel refurbishment so, if you were ever in doubt, we reckon you should be paying this beauty another visit.

Meriton Serviced Apartments

Shopaholics will love Meriton Serviced Apartments’ central location – a short walk from both bustling Pacific Fair and the boutiques of Broadbeach. After a big day gallivanting around the shops and burning the plastic, rest your weary feet by the indoor or outdoor pool. Meriton Serviced Apartments are designed for settling in for the long haul, with the choice of studio suites plus one, two, and massive three bedroom self-contained apartments, providing enough space for every member of the brat pack. Here you can anticipate all the comforts and necessities of home.

Phoenician Resort

If a little over-the-top opulence is your thing, or the kidlets are harder to impress these days… consider the Phoenician Resort. A sprawling property that occupies the full length of a Broadbeach block and wouldn’t be out of place in Vegas, expect Romanesque columns, gleaming white stucco low-rise apartments and curved balconies overlooking a Mediterranean resort-inspired pool. So grab the gossip mags, your biggest floppy hat, and BYO fruity cocktail.
