Shadow Thieves That’s The Spirit
With a menu designed to showcase some of the best Australian spirits, we know where we’ll be indulging on Monday night. That’s The Spirit at Ombra bar will feature Four Pillars Gin, Hippocampus Vodka, Starward Whisky, Causes & Cures Vermouth and Bass River Grappa. Beginning 6:30pm and at $95 a head, diners will be seated to a 5 course dinner to be complimented by these fine spirits. Raw, Vegan Wine Dinner at Shu
The good folk at Shu Restaurant in Collingwood are dishing up a dinner that can be hard to find - vegan food paired with vegan wine. Served as a 10 course, Chinese-fusion degustation dinner, guests will be able to settle in to enjoy a full menu of top-notch produce, all to be enjoyed in their most raw form and paried with vegan wines. Taste of Melbourne at Albert Park
Melbourne’s favourite foodie event Taste of Melbourne is back and we can’t wait to dig in deep! Over 4 days, 6 tasting sessions will be open to the public featuring a range of signature dishes by Melbourne’s finest restaurants in taste-sized portions. This year the line up will include names such as Andrew McConnell’s Supernormal and Luxembourg, Movida, Pastuso, and George Calombaris’s Gazi. A Nightmare Before Christmas - Tim Burton Tribute at 24 Moons
Halloween might be over, but 24 Moons are kicking off the weekend by channeling some frightful Tim Burton vibes. Combining a selection of live performances, music and movies that celebrate the director’s work and style, 24 Moons invites you to get jazzed up as your favourite Tim Burton characters with a prize offered for the best dressed couple. Head on down to knock back some $5 Beetlejuice shots and dance to 8 Foot Felix and DJ Black Kitty. A Nightmare Before Christmas starts at 8:30pm and $20 tickets are available via Moshtix.
Eureka Climb at Eureka Tower
Pumped to climb 1642 steps to the top of Eureka Skydeck this Sunday? For most of us that might seem a bit of a stretch, but for the determined peeps out there keen to contribute to a good cause while upping their fitness game, this is the perfect gig. The climb will raise funds for Eureka’s charity partners Interplast and Whitelion and is open to anyone from 12 years of age and all fitness levels. Starting at 7am with staggered start times throughout the rest of the day, we suggest you start training now to bring your A-game this weekend!
