Do More Than Drink
If you've ever wanted to drink for a good cause, this is your chance! Our favourite social enterprise, Scarf, has teamed up with some of the best Melbourne bars for Do More Than Drink, a one-of-a-kind weekend party. Participating bars including Eau Di Vie, Smalls Bar and Carwyn Cellars will be donating $1 from every drink sold on Friday or Saturday to support Scarf's important initiative. Scarf helps young refugees, asylum seekers and migrants get their foot in the hospitality door through a unique, hands-on training program. Do More Than Drink this weekend and head to one of the Melbourne bars proudly supporting Scarf. Whether you're spending on drinks or throwing a few dollars in the Scarf donation jar, head here for more information.
Japanese Film Festival
If you haven’t heard of this yet, then you must live under a rock, because we could not be more excited about Melbourne’s annual Japanese Film Festival. With crime, drama, romance and Godzilla, the festival is everything you could ever need and more. Closing with the heartwrenching film ‘The Long Excuse’, the film extravaganza ends this Sunday, December 4, so head to ACMI before you miss out! Tickets and all the details you need can be found here.
David Hockney At NGV
Indulge your cultural side this weekend and head to the opening of the David Hockney exhibition at the NGV. ‘David Hockney: Current’ is curated by the NGV in collaboration with David Hockney and his studio feature over 700 works from the past decade of the artist’s career.
