In all things good and sweet, the institution that brings authentic Roman Italian to Melbourne, Brunetti Classico, is taking on Coburg with its a fancy cake boutique.
The empire has been kicking around for almost four decades with six locations spread out around the city. It was only last year that we celebrated Brunetti Classico expanding to Moonee Ponds, and now we’ve back in your feed to say hip hip hooray to location number seven.
As a cake boutique, its main schtick is its custom cake consultation service. While other stores like Carlton and Moonee Ponds are also considered cake boutiques, Coburg takes on the ultimate VIP approach with the whole upper level dedicated to private bookings and taste tests for bespoke cake orders. They’ve got it all from timeless classics to speciality bakes, and if you’re in a time pinch, jump online and go down the click-and-collect route.
But it’s not just for fancy cakes to take home. Brunetti Classico Coburg will be blessing Melbourne’s north with all the good stuff, both in takeaway and dine-in fashion—although the focus is on the former. It’ll have a bespoke menu specific to Coburg, featuring Italian-style drinks, Danish pastries, and savory bites (panini, arancini, calzone, quiche).
"It’s a boutique for people on the go, who just want to pop in for a delicious snack or treat...Food will be presented in glass cabinets, like a jewellery store, for easy and timely selection," says Fabio Angele of Brunetti Classico.
