Sit On The Iron Throne With A Beer At Moondog Brewery For Game of Thrones’ 10th Birthday

To mark this momentous occasion and celebrate the cultural phenomenon that Game of Thrones spawned, Melbourne’s very own Moon Dog Brewery in partnership with Warner Bros. are launching two exclusively crafted beers for the ‘Iron Anniversary’.

Falling in line with the fantastical medieval aesthetic that the show upholds, the two beers are designed for clinking in dank taverns, sun soaked castles, and wind chilled northern outposts. These hefty brews will place you right in the thick of it.

Both aptly named in canon the ‘Breaker of Chains’ is an imperial stout, an homage to our fiery Khaleesi. A decadent mix of chipotle chilli, vanilla, and chocolate gives this stout a dark and menacing black finish and will have you ready to rage war upon your noblest fire spewing stead.

The ‘Watchers On The Wall’ is an imperial white ale that Moon Dog has cleverly crafted with creamy white chocolate, gusts of orange and coriander seed. The icy yet refreshing taste will help you keep up the courage to face whatever lies beyond the wall.

Both beers will be available for purchase online here as well as at both Moondog venues (Preston/Abbotsford) and at all good abiding craft beer retailers.

If that wasn’t enough Moon Dog are also throwing a ‘Game of Thrones’ weekend at their HQ Moon Dog World in Preston this weekend kicking off on Friday 16 to Sunday 18 April 4pm - late. In costume dress up is strongly advised with the GoT themed beers on tap, dry snow throughout the venue, and the iron throne so you too can become a king or queen of the castle.

The things we do for love beer.
