Chadstone Is Getting A Brand-New Beauty Destination, As MECCA Transforms Three Stores Into One

Beauty-lovers, this one's for you. After treating us to the opening of the incredible MECCA Bourke Street flagship last year, the beloved beauty giant has done it again, with the announcement of a major new beauty and wellness destination at Chadstone. 

MECCA first opened at Chadstone in 1999, and currently has three stores within the centre—which is the Southern Hemisphere’s largest fully integrated retail destination—so making it home to MECCA's next big move feels only right. Speaking of big, the brand-new, 2,400sqm store will more than double MECCA's current footprint in the centre, and host over 200 brands and more than 50 bookable services. 

MECCA Chief New Concepts Officer Maria Tsaousis says “The new destination brings together the very best of MECCA in one place—from world-class brands and personalised services to wellness, innovation and immersive experiences. It's designed to reflect how our customers want to discover, experience and engage with beauty today."

When Does The New MECCA Chadstone Open? 

The New MECCA Chadstone is set to open late 2026. While we don't have a specific date yet, we'll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

What Brands Will MECCA Chadstone Stock?

The new megastore is set to stock over 200 brands. While fan favourites aren't going anywhere (your Charlotte Tilbury and Nars are safe), the store also presents an opportunity for MECCA to branch out with new beauty and wellness brands. Seoul-based fragrance brand Born To Stand Out, makeup brand Fara Homidi are just two of the many newcomers joining the MECCA Chadstone shelves. 

Will MECCA Chadstone Offer Services?

Mecca Chadstone will offer more than 50 bookable services. Joining MECCA's tried and true beauty services like skin consultations and makeup applications is a suite of concepts new to Chadstone, including the MECCA Apothecary, a destination to support customers through sleep, gut health, life transitions and personal rituals, and the MECCA Beauty Atelier, an elevated hair and makeup experience led by internationally acclaimed colourist Josh Wood.

What Will The New MECCA Chadstone Look Like? 

The new MECCA Chadstone is designed by Studio McQualter. They're the same team behind MECCA's Bourke Street flagship, so you know the space will be beautiful. The vision for the new store brings together thoughtful design, natural elements and immersive customer experiences. For the first time at Chadstone, customers will be able to enter MECCA through both an external and internal entrance, allowing for the store to see plenty of natural light (not something you often see in shopping centres), greenery and an indoor-outdoor design approach.
