Where To Go For A Post-Fuel Feed (Or Frothy) If You’re Running The Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival
The Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival is one of our city’s biggest moments on the calendar. After months of training, determination and hard work, more than 65,000 runners will descend on Melbourne’s streets on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October to take on the running events. And, if you’re reading this, there’s a good chance that could be you.
You’ve stood at the start line, adrenaline pumping through your veins, with all that hard training boiling down to this one moment. Perhaps you’ve gone the full nine yards and kitted yourself out in Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival merch, or you’re sticking with your tried-and-tested race-day fit. Your friends and family have scattered themselves along the course to cheer you on, before beelining for the MCG to watch you cross the finish line.
And you did it. By hook or by crook, after hours of running, smashing gels and perfecting that special cup trick to drink the water from the aid stations, you crossed that finish line. By all accounts, you’ve well and truly earned a post-race feed (and frothy, if that’s your jam) with your loved ones.
From freshly baked baguettes and perfectly dialled-in coffee to riverside pints and sky-high cocktails, here are our top picks for the best places to go for a celebratory feed during the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival 2026 weekend.
Rooftop Bar
Level 7, 252 Swanston Street, Melbourne | Open Saturday and Sunday from 12pm

Arguably one of Melbourne’s best drinking spots, Rooftop Bar delivers smooth pints, great cocktails and impeccable city views. And when your stomach starts screaming at you to refuel after your huge run, the Burger Shack at the back of the astroturf is waiting patiently for you to order the Southern-fried chicken burger. Heads up: while there is a handy lift saving you the seven-flight climb, there are just a few stairs you’ll need to climb before you reach the very top. We know your legs are cooked, so take it slow; the beers aren’t going anywhere.
Corner Hotel
57 Swan Street, Richmond | Open Saturday and Sunday from 12pm
Nothing says celebratory beers quite like a frothy at one of Melbourne’s institutional pubs, the Corner Hotel. While you might know it to be a live music joint, it also does one of the best parmas in the city with ice-cold pints ready to sink. Just a short walk from the MCG, perch up around a table with your mates at the front bar or rooftop and let the post-race celebrations begin
Baker Bleu
65 Dover Street, Cremorne | Open Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 3pm

For a serious refuelling sesh sans the booze, you’re only a brief 15-minute walk away from Baker Bleu in Cremorne. From freshly baked baguettes and spongy sourdough to loaded toasties, custard tarts and hefty cinnamon buns, you’re in for a proper feed that'll hit the spot.
Riverland Bar
Federation Wharf Vaults 1–9, Melbourne | Open Saturday and Sunday from 12pm
If you prefer your pint with a side of river views and paired with a buzzing atmosphere, chances are you’ll want to head to Riverland Bar. It’s a fuss-free spot with ample seating, QR codes at the table, and big tables if you've rounded up a few mates after the race. You can usually get away without booking ahead, too, noteworthy if you’re only reading this article the day of.
Hector’s Bakery
33 Stewart Street, Richmond | Open Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 3pm

Maple-glazed doughnut, fried chicken sanga and a stellar coffee? Beeline to Hector’s Bakery once you’ve finished up at the MCG. Just a short walk into Richmond, right near the train station, you’ll find this beauty. And unlike Hector’s Deli, we’re putting Hector’s Bakery on the list for their hefty range of baked goods, including their banger cheese and mushroom croissant.
Swan Hotel
1/425 Church Street, Richmond | Open Saturday and Sunday from 12pm
Another reliable in the watering hole category, The Swan has been kicking around since 1890. Guinness on tap, stellar espresso martinis, bangers and mash and six types of hefty parmas, it has post-run feed written all over it. You won’t need to worry about a booking for this one, thanks to the ample tables spread throughout the front bar, dining room and outdoor beer garden.
The Terrace
Corner Alexandra Avenue & Anderson Street, South Yarra | Open Saturday and Sunday from 8am

After you’ve conquered your race, take a cool-down stroll through the Royal Botanic Gardens, then navigate your way to The Terrace. It’s an all-day dining situation, meaning no matter when you arrive, you’ve always got the option of chowing down on the blueberry and ricotta hotcakes. Plus, if you want to celebrate your wins with a glass of bubbles or a refreshing spritz, The Terrace has the goods.
Morris House
120 Exhibition Street, Melbourne | Open Saturday and Sunday from 11.30am
The beauty of Morris House is you can work out what you’re in the mood for when you get there because of the sheer variety across the four levels. A solid pub feed is awaiting you and your pals in the dining room; the bar is a perfect spot to unpack your Strava stats over a cold one, and the rooftop is pure celebratory energy with jazzy cocktails and 10+ pours on tap.
