BREWED WITH LAUGHTER | VICTORIA PARK

Ever wanted to hear a comedian’s view on a simple beer tasting? This Friday night our pals at The Dutch Trading Co will be taking you on a hilarious journey through the frothy senses. The show will be part beer tasting, part comedy and part game show. Sounds beer-tastic!

BRICK MAN EXPOSED | PERTH

This event is designed for all the adult children out there who have grown up loving all things Lego. The ultimate man-child Ryan McNaught has built over 60 amazing exhibits made from more than 5 million Lego bricks (seriously?). After three sell-out tours in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, he is coming to Perth with the most incred Lego exhibition. You don’t want to miss this one.

REVEALED: ABORIGINAL ART MARKET | FREMANTLE

Set to be one of the most beautiful and inspiring art exhibitions, the Fremantle Arts Centre will be filled with paintings, textiles, woven items, ceramics, jewellery and other rare artefacts this weekend. This will be a very rare opportunity to be able to purchase these items from more than 20 Aboriginal art centres from around WA. You’ll have a chance to meet some of the amazing artists from the Kimberly, Pilbara Region and the Goldfields and be able to appreciate the vitality and diversity of contemporary Aboriginal art.

HIP HOP HIGH TEA | PERTH

Yo yo! Time to get your ‘phat’ pants, baggy t-shirt and gold chains out this weekend! The George is bringing back their Hip Hop High Tea by popular demand and we are keen as to get diggity down. There will be a pretty dope DJ on the decks all day and some pretty epic sweet and savoury eats along with some delish iced tea. Yas.

DERBY DAY | PERTH

Derby Day is here! Yup, it’s the ultimate battle that splits our great city in two. If you haven’t been lucky enough to secure tix, why not go here, here or here and watch all the action on the big screen with a few frothies. Carn’ boys.

SHIP-WRECKED MUSIC FESTIVAL | VICTORIA PARK

This isn’t your normal music festival! The guys behind Ship-Wrecked have made sure that once you enter those gates, it will be a whole different world. Now we don’t want to ruin the experience…but they’re promising an underwater village of food, the ‘Buried Treasure Markets’, water slides AND rides. Add in Andy Bull, The Delta Riggs, Thundamentals and err…Shannon Noll and you’ve got yourself a music festival of epic proprtions.

LITTLE MARKET PLACE VS MEGA MARKET PLACE | BENTLEY

You may have heard of Mega Market Place already but this Saturday arvo will be even bigger when Little Market Place and Mega Market Place come together. With over 60 stallholders cramming into Curtin Stadium, you know there will be some good finds—think homewares, clothing, henna, arts and crafts, food vans and so much more! See you there.

SUNDAYS ON THE STRIP | FREMANTLE

This Sunday, make sure you head down to the Freo cafe strip for the ultimate day of wining and dining. The City of Fremantle will be closing the main road so you can  wander from restaurant to cafe to bar without fear of getting run over, huzzah! From 10am to 10pm, the streets will be humming with live music, art stalls, henna and all things Freo!

DACHSHUND RESCUE AUSTRALIA | GUILDFORD

If you have a little silly sausage at home, make sure you take them on an outing this Sunday in support of Dachshund Rescue Australia who take care of and rehome sausage dogs throughout Australia. There will be a sausage sizzle (food sausages will only be sizzled at this event), food trucks, dachie races, fancy dress comps for you and pup and so much more all for only a gold coin donation! Done deal.

BBQ BY THE BEACH | SWANBOURNE

Head down to The Shorehouse this Sunday for a BBQ by the beach. As a part of Good Food Month in Perth, the guys at Shorehouse are putting a contemporary spin on the classic Aussie BBQ. They’ve got an open wood-fired grill and giant cast-iron pans to cook up some Shark Bay prawns, pork sliders and some ‘ultimate hotdogs’. Pretty excited for this one!
