Living a plant-based life is certainly nothing new, but, as you may have noticed, the popularity of the vegan diet has been on the rise lately. Perth has become a hub for tasty vegan eats, with dedicated market stalls, cafes and restaurants popping up all over the place. 

Being vegan can often make going out for breakfast a little tricky, given it’s a time of day that typically lends itself to eggs and bacon, and one where hunting down something plant-based isn’t exactly the easiest of tasks. Which kind of sucks, because breakfast is the best. The good news is, as the popularity of veganism continues to grow, more and more Perth cafes are coming to the party and serving up some very tasty vegan breakfast options. 

We’re loving how many amazing cafes in Perth are offering discounts on coffee when you BYO your own cup—it really feels like the #waronwaste is gaining momentum in P-town. But there are a few Perth cafes and restaurants that have taken things to the next level. From fermenting and composting to BYO tiffins, plastic free kitchens and buzzing bees on rooftops…we are pretty gosh darn impressed with the focus on sustainability in Perth.

These up-and-coming artists are hitting the wow-factor with their remarkable Aboriginal art, but not as you know it. With mediums like graphic design, digital illustration, sculpture and ceramics, as well as the classic acrylic paint and beyond—we’re seeing traditional Dreamtime art taken to whole new levels as well as brand new cultural material. Excited? So are we.
