If you’ve been scrolling through socials, you’ve seen it—thick, extra AF chocolate bars stuffed with fried crunchy kataifi pastry, drenched in pistachio cream.
What started as a chocolate bar creation out of Fix Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai Airport, soon exploded in online popularity. Dessert makers around the globe began to experiment with Dubai chocolate in strawberry cups, stuffed cookies, brownies, cheesecakes, cannoli’s, milkshakes and even bubble tea.
From boutique bakeries to high-end grocers, cafés, and acai bars, you can find Dubai chocolate in Perth in so many forms, all with the same irresistible combination of chocolate, kataifi, and pistachio.
Here’s your insider guide on where to find Dubai chocolate in Perth, from must-try items, how to get them, and what makes each spot stand out. Whether you want a DIY strawberry cup, a gooey acai bowl, or a taste test of the famous bars themselves, we’ve got you covered.
What is Dubai chocolate?
Despite the name, Dubai Chocolate is less about geography and more about decadence—rich, gooey, layered, and ridiculously indulgent.
They’re thick chocolate bars that are filled with pistachio kataifi filling. Basically, pistachio nuts are blended down and typically mixed with a white chocolate base to create a sweet, rich pistachio cream (like how biscoff spread is just crushed biscuits!) Kataifi is a middle eastern, noodle-like pastry made from thin crepe batter, and after frying it in a pan with butter, you combine it with the cream and stuff a chocolate bar with it.
Each bite hits multiple textures at once: a crunchy chocolate shell giving way to crispy, nutty, creamy filling, and it’s gone viral because the crackle, crunch and melty chocolate is insanely satisfying to break apart (and to eat!)
Where To Find The OG Dubai chocolate Bars In Perth
Lotsa Lollies
78 Norma Road, Booragoon
Image credit: Lotsa Lollies | Website
If you’re hunting the OG Dubai chocolate bars, Lotsa Lollies is the place to start. This lolly shop in Malaga has become TikTok-famous for their gold dusted slab bars. Thick blocks of milk, white or dark chocolate stuffed with crispy kataifi pastry dripping in pistachio cream, and while $22.95 might seem like a heavy price for a chocolate bar, these bad boys are not only hefty but the craftsmanship here is seriously unmatched in Perth. These bars are handmade by a small team daily to ensure every bite is crispy, sweet and dusted to perfection. They’ve also put pistachio filling in jars, so you can DIY your very own bars and desserts (or, if you’re hypnotised by the craze like my mum is, straight on your toast!) Each bar is heavy enough to share, though good luck stopping once you’ve cracked one open!
The Exquisite Co
Shop 12/47 McCoy Street, Myaree
Image credit: The Exquisite Co | Instagram
The Exquisite Co’s pistachio kunafa bar is thick, creamy, and slightly more delicate chocolate than other Dubai bars. Where there might be less pastry filling than other Dubai bars across the city, I actually think the gooey-ness of the pistachio cream inside is the real star. They also stuff chocolate with other unique flavours you can’t find anywhere else, all for $28. Their Baklava bars are inspired by the rich, layered middle eastern pastry which is soaked in sweet honey and filled with pistachios. The PB & J Kunafa Bar takes the lunchbox delicacy of peanut butter and strawberry jam in a sandwich, and turns it into a crispy, sweet and savoury treat. Every chocolate bar is handcrafted, and the attention to detail makes it stand out from the mass-produced options you might see elsewhere.
Basil’s Fine Foods
5/36 South Anchorage Drive, Mindarie

Think of Basil’s as Perth’s version of LA’s Erewhon—a fancy gourmet grocer by the coast. Alongside imported snacks, they stock stuffed Dubai chocolate bars from crowd favs The Exquisite Co. and Lotsa Lollies at the exit of the store, so you literally can’t escape without the tease of grabbing one to go.
But the real flex is their creative in-house dessert creations, especially the Dubai chocolate cheesecake brownie. Picture creamy pistachio filling, pistachio kataifi pastry all on top of a brownie base that leans more luxe patisserie than supermarket slices, if you get my drift. For all my Italian besties out there, they’ve also got Dubai pistachio cannoli on offer, which are unbelievably decadent.
Margaret River Chocolate Factory
415 Harmans Mill Road & Tom Cullity Drive, Metricup
Image credit: Margaret River Chocolate Factory | Instagram
For a local twist on the Dubai chocolate trend, Margaret River Chocolate Factory layers their signature Australian chocolate with pistachio cream and kataifi, and will set you back $24.95. The bars are slightly lighter on filling than the classic Dubai style, but this just lets the quality of the chocolate itself really shine. There are also smaller chocolate bites for tasting or for grabbing as souvenirs! The venue is bright, airy, and full of local chocolate options alongside the Dubai-style treats—perfect for a road trip stop, and proof you don’t have to come to Dubai for a bit of pistachio goodness when Margs blends Dubai chocolate with local West Aussie chocolate craftsmanship.
Where To Find The Dubai Chocolate Inspired Treats In Perth:
Cookie Loaded
Shop 36/148 Scarborough Beach Road, Mount Hawthorn

Early adopters of the Dubai choc trend, Cookie Loaded has been drizzling melted chocolate and gooey pistachio paste over cups of strawberries for months now. Their Dubai chocolate strawberry cups are packed with juicy, ripe strawbs, that pistachio paste and kataifi combo, and plenty of chocolate, obvs. They’ve since introduced a couple of twists on the original, adding Biscoff and kataifi, Nutella and kataifi and Bueno and kataifi variations to the mix. Plus, they’ve taken things one step further and launched their very own Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Kataifi Spread in a jar, so you can literally turn any meal at home into a Dubai choc affair.
Ribs Lane
Subiaco & Mount Lawley
Image credit: Ribs Lane | Instagram
Ribs Lane is coming for the Dubai chocolate crown, launching not one, not two, but four Dubai chocolate desserts. Dripping golden loukamades, loaded waffles and strawberry cups make choosing just one insanely difficult, but we think the hero of the lineup has to be the Dubai chocolate dessert pizza. A crispy deep pan base, with melted chocolate, crushed pistachio nuts, ripe strawberries and warm pistachio cream drizzled on top. Plus, at $22.99, this deal is actually cheaper than most of the Dubai chocolate bars themselves. While you can only snag the pizza at their Subiaco store, no matter which doughy or fruity dubai dessert you choose between Subi or Mount Lawley, you’re in for a nutty good time.
Nabil’s Acai Station
225 Illawarra Crescent South, Ballajura
Image credit: Nabil's Acai Station | Instagram
From the outside, it looks like a humble Lebanese sweet shop in Ballajura City Shopping Centre. Inside? Nabil’s has really made a name for itself at Perth’s home of Dubai chocolate goodness, and for good reason. Here, you can get your hands on one of their homemade bars for $25 a pop, or explore the range of treats. There's Nabil's take on the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup, as well as a Dubai chocolate inspired acai bowl.
But if we had to pick just one, we’re getting the Dubai chocolate brownie any day of the week. Think a slab of decadent, rich brownie topped with a layer of pistachio paste and kataifi, then drizzled with melted chocolate and sprinkled with pistachio crumb. And while this one is made to be shared, we won’t judge if you keep the whole thing for yourself.
Donut Worry
East Victoria Park & Northbridge
Image credit: Donut Worry | Instagram
Donut Worry takes everything that works about Dubai chocolate and marries it with their already epic donut lineup. The result? Fluffy donut holes smothered in crunchy kataifi and chocolate, topped with milk chocolate and crushed pistachios, all for $18. If you need something fruity to cut through that decadence, you can grab their donut dubai strawberry cups as an alternative. Donut Worry doubles as an on-the-ball acai spot, too. Their Dubai Acai Special is piped high with pistachio soft serve, fresh fruit, (and get this!) a FULL-SIZED Dubai chocolate bar wedged into the side. This dessert cafe is best done as a shared experience, because if you want to try a bit of everything, this gets filling super fast!
Purple Kiss Acai & Dessert Bar
910 Albany Highway, East Victoria Park

Image credit: Purple Kiss Acai & Dessert Bar | Instagram
A go-to for Victoria Park locals looking for a heaping bowl of soft serve acai, or a little sweet treat to end the day, Purple Kiss has jumped on the Dubai chocolate train. The choc pistach lineup includes a Dubai chocolate acai bowl and, of course, a Dubai chocolate strawberry cup, but their latest addition? Dubai chocolate croissants. They’ve taken a buttery, flakey croissant, stuffed it with pistachio kataifi spread, and covered the whole she-bang with Nutella, pistachio and more kataifi.
The space itself is bright, modern, and colourful, giving off a playful, relaxed café energy where it’s easy to spend an hour snapping photos, sharing bites, and slowly working through your chocolate-fueled sugar high. Be warned, this one gets messy.
Berry Bae
663 Newcastle Street, Leederville
Image credit: Berry Bae | Instagram
The only thing better than a bowl loaded with Dubai chocolate goodness? A do-it-yourself situation, where you can perfect your own choc to pistachio ratio. Enter Berry Bae. This is a build-you-own-bowl style acai bar, where you load up on frozen acai and stack on toppings like fruit, candy and sauce. Now, it’s unofficially become a go-to for Perth’s DIY Dubai chocolate lovers, thanks to the addition of kataifi pistachio filling to their dessert bar lineup.
Hot tip, some regulars are skipping the acai entirely and coming purely for a DIY rendition of the Dubai strawberry cups. If this is your jam, you can load up a cup with fresh strawberries, and top with kataifi, melted chocolate and pistachio to your heart’s desire. Make it next level and hit it with some of the hot sauces on offer, like nutella, bueno or biscoff.
Chunkz Acai & Dessert
816 Beeliar Drive, Success
Image credit: Chunkz Acai and Dessert Bar | Instagram
Chunkz Dubai chocolate bars are instantly recognisable, with purple chocolate shells that match their bold logo, paired with the iconic pistachio cream filling inside. The owners are constantly coming up with new takes on the viral sensation, stemming from late-night cravings they wish would come to life. And that’s exactly how the Dubai waffle cones were born: instead of ice cream, they’re a scoop of pistachio kataifi filling, with juicy strawberries inside, topped with pistachio drizzle. A crispy, creamy, over-the-top dessert that’s fun to eat and even better in photos. They also make mini dubai desserts for kids, so there’s something for your mini-me’s too. Starting all their videos with “Hey Chunkz family!”, in person, this spot really does translate to a playful, welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel like you’re a relative of Willy Wonka and his dessert factory.
Mary Street Bakery
Highgate, City Beach, Leederville, Perth CBD, Allendale Square
Image credit: Mary Street Bakery | Instagram
Mary Street Bakery has taken their signature baked goods and given them a Dubai chocolate twist. They’ve jumped on the trend with their own Dubai chocolate donut, form $7. With their signature donut as a base, stuffed with kataifi and pistachio cream, then coated like a choc-top for that extra layer of decadence, each bite is giving the exact kind of treat you’ll want to pair with a coffee and slowly work through.
La Bomb Cookies
Shop 3/7 Station Street, Cottesloe
LaBomb Cookies bakes burned basque cheesecake to perfection, and then somehow takes it to the next level with Dubai Chocolate slathered on top. There’s something about the creamy baked cheesecake, with that slightly burnt edge flavour that pairs beautifully with the nutty pistachio flavours. The crunch of the kataifi alongside the texture of the cheesecake makes this dessert both a treat and a sensory experience. If you’re more of a chocolate fiend, the brownie slabs that are basically edible boats of gooey Dubai chocolate delight. Topped with a generous amount of pistachio cream sauce, and crushed pistachios, these are ideal for two, but there’s no shame in going solo.
Cuccini Gelato
276 William Street, Perth
Image credit: Cuccini Gelato | Supplied
If Dubai chocolate in bar form wasn’t indulgent enough, Cuccini's Gelato takes it to a whole new level. Born from late-night experiments and countless taste tests, the gelato nails the same rich, pistachio-stuffed, kataifi-crunch goodness of the original bars, only creamier, colder, and even more sweet. It’s already cemented its place as a must-order among Cuccini connoisseurs.
The upgraded version? The dubai chocolate gelato cake, which just launched, and it's a serious showstopper. Coming into these warmer months, it's a creamy summer chocolate delight for anyone wanting a celebratory take on the Dubai chocolate craze.
