Bert’s

If you grew up near City Beach, chances are you’ve heard of the original Bert’s—the iconic surf kiosk that was a local hangout from the ’50s to the early ’60s. Now, it's making a comeback, and ready to serve a whole new generation of sandy-footed surfers and locla grommets as it takes over the old Odyssea spot in late August.

Casa

From morning pastries to midnight pours, Casa is the kind of venue you’ll want to linger at. Inspired by the all-day bars of Italy, Casa is a true all-rounder, equal parts café, diner, wine bar, and killer pizzeria. By day, they’ve got coffee brewing, flaky house-baked pastries, sausage rolls, and stuffed focaccias to get you through the day. But after dark it’s all pasta, share plates, and one extensive wine list. With nine perfectly-tempered fridges, it’s an oenophile's dream. And while Casa does a lot right, the pizza here is unmissable. Their deep-pan beauties arrive crispy, cheesy, and generously topped, making them a serious contender for Perth’s best.

House On Beau

Inglewood’s newest neighbourhood venue, House On Beau, is a mid-century lounge that feels like slow living room drinks, only better.  Taking over the much-loved Casa Eventi space, it’s bringing a fresh new chapter to Beaufort Street’s bar scene.

Ferment

Pour perfectionists: Perth’s first self-serve beer wall is here, and will forever change the way you share a pint.
