Where To Play Lawn Bowls In Perth

By

Lawn Bowls Perth

Who says lawn bowls is a game for the oldies? We've decided adulthood is all about organised activities that involve a little bit of competition, a lot of banter and reasonably priced drinks. So gather your friends and get organised.

Here's our list of where to play lawn bowls in Perth. Let the games begin.

Bayswater Bowling And Recreation Club

Is it a coincidence that the first bowls club we thought of is home to some insanely delicious food trucks every Friday night? Maybe. But probably not. Friday nights at BBRC are all about social bowls, so grab your team of four, eat some burgers and drink some $7.50 pints.

Perth & Tattersalls Bowling & Recreation Club

Dating back to 1885, these guys have serious roots. Head over on the weekend and make your mark overlooking Langley Park and the Swan. Take all the nibbles and treats you want but sorry, there is no BYO booze.

Mount Lawley Bowling Club

The Mount Lawley Bowling Club is taking the humble Sunday sesh to a whole new level. Starting up again in October, it's all barefootedness and cheap drinks from 3pm. For $10 per person you can ease into the weekend with some sun and serenity.

North Beach Bowling Club

A hop, skip and a jump away from Trigg Beach, it's no surprise that North Beach Bowling Club is where it's at for team North. Take note though, the members here are serious about their bowls and their fully stocked beach bar so get in quick if you're looking for an event space or a spot on the green.

Mosman Park Bowling Club

With an opening line like the club with the million dollar view, you know you’re in for a treat. On the cusp of the Swan, you're going to want to make this a regular thing. They run Barefoot Bowls competitions on the regs, and did we mention the cheap beers?

Hollywood Subiaco Bowls Club

Nestled among the foliage on Smyth Road, you'll want to head to Hollywood after work or uni for some sweet sunset bowling action. Grab a drink, take a seat and on the patio, kick off the shoes and talk bowling strategy with your mates. Winner winner we say.

Dalkeith Nedlands Bowling Club

The Dalkeith Nedlands Club knows the way to our hearts. Two words: sausage sizzle. The social competition runs randomly throughout the year so keep your team of four on hand to get down and dirty with the regulars.

Doubleview Bowling Club

You can head to Doubleview Blowing Club anytime fo the week and bowl your heart out for 10 bucks. Members are always kicking around to help you out and supportively hide their embarrassment for your shocking form (sorry, this is unavoidable). Drinks, BBQ facilities, atmosphere and loveliness are all included.

Sorrento Bowling Club

Team Sorrento is as chilled as they come for their summer session of bowls. Get together a group of four and at $10 a head, you're sorted from 7pm to 9pm on weekends. The trusty members will be working the sausage sizzle and they'll ensure you've always got a coldy along the banks of the green.

South Perth Bowling Club

South Perth has got the right idea offering Friday and Sunday arvo games for the barefooters out there. Bring $20 and your own snacks and the rest will be taken care of for you. If you're super keen on getting into the sport, Tuesday is where it's at for their scroungers rounds with a coach by your side. You'll need to bring your A-game.

Kalamunda Club

Ten buckaroos will do the trick on a Friday night at the Kalamunda Club. Their easy-does-it social night is open to everyone from 7pm to 9pm and the kitchen has got your dinner desires covered for less than a lobster. Sounds like a pretty good Friday night to us.

BONUS! Bowled Over Dating

Not a bowls club per se, but if you're single and ready to mingle and the idea of lawn bowls sounds pretty good to you, hit Bowled Over Dating up and get involved in one of their barefoot bowls events. It's like speed dating but way less awkward. They also do ten pin bowling, mini golf, pool and a few other events—the world is your oyster.
