Yes, we know it's cold outside and incredibly tempting to stay tucked up in your cosy little house until spring arrives, but trust us when we say this is one winter foodie festival worth rugging up for.

Returning from 2 July to 9 August, Nom Nom is back with a six-week calendar of long lunches, wine dinners, hands-on workshops, nostalgic movie nights and plenty of opportunities to eat and drink your way through winter.

The annual festival has become something of a pillar of Perth's winter social calendar, proving there's still plenty of reasons to get out and about once the temperature drops. This year, there's a distinctly European flavour to the festivities, with Croatian feasts, Italian cheese-stretching workshops and progressive dining experiences helping to bring a little taste of summer holiday energy to Leederville.

With everything from South African braais and mozzarella-making masterclasses to progressive long lunches and Ratatouille screenings at the pub, we've rounded up the events we'd book first.

Saffa Supper Club

Thursday 2 July

If you appreciate a good feed but have never dabbled in South African cuisine, do not skip this one. Servo's Saffa Supper Club is kicking off Nom Nom with a celebration of South African food and culture.

Returning for another year, the one-night-only feast brings together braai-inspired cooking, with a menu designed to transport diners straight to the southern tip of Africa. Expect everything from house-made peri peri biltong and lamb bunny chow to coal-roasted wagyu rump cap, braai corn and a generous serving of malva pudding for dessert.

To wash it all down, Servo's bar team will be mixing South African-inspired cocktails alongside wines from Stellenbosch and the Coastal Region. At $75 per person, it's one of the festival's best-value dinners, and a pretty compelling excuse to gather a group and settle in for a long winter night.

Stretch & Sip

Sunday 5 July & Sunday 19 July

Some people spend Sundays meal-prepping. Others spend them stretching fresh mozzarella with an Aperol Spritz in hand. We know which camp we'd rather be in.

Returning to Nom Nom for another year, La Formaggeria's wildly popular Stretch & Sip workshops are bringing a little slice of Italy to Leederville, with hands-on masterclasses led by Perth's favourite Roman-born cheese makers, Katia and Sabrina Cappadocio.Over two indulgent hours, you'll learn the traditional techniques behind some of Italy's most beloved cheeses while grazing on indulgent charcuterie.

The first workshop focuses on mozzarella, burrata and stracciatella, while the second dives into halloumi and ricotta cannoli, and you'll leave with a belly full of fresh cheese, a take-home guide and a newfound appreciation for the art of formaggio.

Ratatouille In The Pub!

Sunday 5 July

If you've ever watched Ratatouille and wished for a tiny rat to cook you dinner, you're in luck. As part of Nom Nom, The Leederville Hotel is screening Pixar's beloved culinary classic, giving food lovers the chance to revisit one of cinema's greatest kitchen stories from the comfort of the pub.

For just $10, you'll score a drink on arrival and movie snacks before settling in to watch everyone's favourite aspiring chef rodent navigate the chaos of a Parisian restaurant. Is it a comfort watch? A love letter to food? A cinematic masterpiece? We'd argue it's all three.

Croatian Nights At Servo

Thursday 23 July

No passport? No worries. Servo is transporting diners straight to the Adriatic coast with a one-night-only Croatian feast celebrating the rich flavours and traditions of Dalmatia. Expect a multi-course menu inspired by family recipes and seaside classics, from local octopus and whole grilled prawns to slow-braised Dalmatian-style beef served with pillowy njoki, all alongside a line-up of Croatian wines and traditional spirits including Kruskovac and Sljivovica available to order on the night.

Adding to the atmosphere, Darlene Gianoli will be spinning a mix of old and new Croatian records, setting the scene for an evening that promises good food, good wine and, if all goes to plan, a little singing too.

Daph's x Servo: Sunday Roast

Sunday 26 July

Christmas might still be five months away, but we're never ones to say no to a festive feast. For one special evening, Daph's chef-owner Pepe Dart is joining forces with the team at Servo to deliver a wintery take on the traditional Sunday roast.

Known for his produce-driven menus and mastery of open-fire cooking, Pepe will bring the flavours that have made Daph's one of Perth's most talked-about restaurants to Leederville for a collaborative three-course dinner built around comfort, seasonality and gathering around the table. Expect plenty of roast dinner essentials, from fire-roasted picanha and beef-fat roast potatoes to Yorkshire puddings, cheesy leeks and rich beef jus, before finishing with a warming apple and Davidson plum pie. Part Christmas in July, part Sunday roast, and entirely our kind of winter dinner.

Wine N' Dine

Saturday 8 August

If choosing where to eat in Leederville feels impossible, just don't. Wine N' Dine takes the decision-making out of your hands and turns it into a progressive long lunch spanning four of the suburb's best venues. The self-guided experience sees guests make their way between Servo, Powells, Souq and Duende, stopping at each for a signature dish paired with a standout Australian wine. Think of it as a leisurely afternoon of eating, drinking and exploring, with a new venue, new flavour and new drop waiting at every stop.

You'll kick things off at your chosen starting venue before winding your way through the remaining restaurants, finishing with dessert and a final glass of wine at your last stop.

Throwback To 2003: The Year Of Duende

Every Wednesday

Perth's cost of living crisis may be very much a 2026 problem, but for six weeks, Duende is pretending it's 2003

To celebrate 23 years in Leederville, the beloved Spanish tapas bar is rolling back the prices on some of its most iconic dishes, serving up a midweek feast at figures that feel almost impossible by today's standards. We're talking $6 patatas bravas, $10 jamón croquettes, $12 chorizo and $8 Basque burnt cheesecake. And at that price, we'll take two slices.

Pass The Pasta

Every Wednesday

If your midweek dinner plans usually involve staring into the fridge and lowering your standards, allow us to suggest a better option.

Every Wednesday throughout Nom Nom, The Garden is serving up a rotating lineup of comforting pasta dishes from just $20, making it one of the easiest ways to get through the midweek slump. With crowd-pleasers like pork and fennel ragu, carbonara loaded with guanciale, gnocchi alla vodka and spinach bolognese, plus rotating weekly specials from the kitchen, Wednesdays just got a little more exciting.
