Our Favourite French Cafes In Perth

The French are known for being good at many things. Namely, their fabulous range of high-end fashion, their potent fromage and of course, their pastries! These guys are a classy bunch indeed, oozing elegance and grandeur from every angle of their being. Luckily, they’ve brought some of that goodness over to Perth so we can enjoy their authentic cakes and bakes and feel like we’re in Paris all over again.

Here are our favourite French cafes in Perth.

La Belle Sweets

Located in the small suburb of Lathlain, this little patisserie is worth a visit. It boasts a team of dedicated chefs bringing you the most authentic and drool-worthy French pastries. The guys at La Belle Sweets have a gluten free sweets menu and also serve a croquembouche tower which is made up of 30 mini choux! Yes, that's right, a croquembouche tower. Now go and check out them out if you think you could tackle it!

Choux Cafe

Choux Cafe in Swanbourne is all cakes and bakes galore and they know exactly how to get our tastebuds excited. This cafe serves a large range of delicate and novel treats, from their cassis macarons with cream cheese and cassis buttercream, to their strawberry tart with dried glacé oranges, and strawberry and rhubarb mint jelly macarons. If you ever need to buy a cake for a special occasion, head to Choux and you won’t be disappointed. All we can say is, Merci beau-Choux!

La Gallette De France

La Gallette De France in Nedlands is a true taste of France, serving a range of French delicacies from sweet and savoury crepes, sweet treats and savoury bakes to crunchy, crusty baguettes. Ooh la la!

Jean Pierre Sancho

The guys at Jean Pierre Sancho have been taught the skills of the baking trade from the Sancho bakery that first opened in France over a hundred years ago! This cafe serves a plethora of incredible cakes, tarts, pastries, puddings, mousses and breads which are of course, all made fresh in store. The Perth Jean Pierre Sancho was the first one outside of France so you’d be a fool not to check them out!

Maison Saint-Honoré

Maison Saint-Honoré is a patisserie in the Swan Valley which serves handmade macarons and pastries made by a French chef using traditional recipes. Open all day for brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and everything in between, in true French-style you can also grab a bottle of wine to enjoy with your delicacies. Forget the wineries and head to Maison Saint-Honoré, stat.

Chez Jean Claude

In addition to their selection of cakes and bakes, Chez Jean Claude also serves a healthier range of French foods from warm veggie soups, to heaps of different homemade sandwiches and warm savoury pies. Bon-JOUR! They also sell their produce in bulk for parties so make sure to check them out for your next event!

Raisin' Bakery
