Perth’s Best Cakes Of Instagram

By Holly Nicholls

When you can recognise a business by their cake on Instagram, you know you’re an addict. An Instagram addict and a cake addict. But both are fine by us! Who cares that sometimes our thumbs hurt from scrolling and double tapping. We can’t get enough of the incredibly beautiful cakes popping up, so here’s a list of our absolute favourites. Showcasing the most amazing looking works of art, these pastry chefs and home cooks are really putting our ovens to shame.

Here are Perth's best cakes of Instagram.

Carina's Kitchen

Focusing on wholesome ingredients, Carina’s cakes are less fondanty flowers and more natural flowers, and we love her for it. Natural doesn’t mean underdressed though. Her creations are just as stunning and delectable as any, and as an added bonus, she’s more than happy to cater to those vegan, dairy free or egg free folks out there.

Cocoa And Spice

Cocoa and Spice puts our morning tea concoction of three two Tim Tams to complete shame. But that’s OK. We’re all about mindless scrolling and drooling in equal measures as we mentally put together a treat box (Turkish delight and white choc Toblerone, obviously) to get delivered to our office so we pretend like it’s someone’s birthday.

Lottie And Belle

Arguably the most famous of the bunch, Lottie & Belle’s Instragam page is more like a catalogue of baking dreams. The cake decorator behind the brand, Shelley Wong is a genius at her trade and the cakes are simply masterpieces of perfection fit for any occasion. If you try just one on this list, make it this.

Sugar And Nice

When we’re talking cakes fit for bey, we’re not talking self-control. These are cakes are so embellished, we don’t even know where to look so just think of yourself like a kid at Christmas discovering the candy canes on the tree are real. Oh the possibilities!

Posh Little Cakes

If anyone can make baked goods feel like a Disney movie, Jenne from Posh Little Cakes can. With a feed filled with pastel floral loveliness, it’s no wonder her business is referred to as edible art.

Cakes By Aranee Perth

If there were a prize for best drip cakes in town, Cakes By Aranee Perth would be crowned with gold for sure. Metallic extravagance is her style and we’re loving every bit of it (macarons galore for a mere decoration doesn’t hurt either!).

My Petite Sweets Perth

Weddings, dessert tables, high tea, birthdays, celebrations… My Petit Sweets Perth certainly has you covered for any event! With the tiniest little designs and piping work featured on her Instagram, it really puts those Anzac biscuits we made on the weekend to shame. Next time… buy in we think.

Petit Poh

How Poh finds the time to create these beauties is beyond us. Her page is a collection of whimsical dreams straight out of a wedding magazine. This is simplicity at its finest, with an Australiana elegance that we’re falling completely in love with.

Celebration By Roll Public

Long gone are the days of the Women’s Weekly Birthday Cake Book and using KitKats as a fence (which we're not entirely happy about BTW). Things have escalated for birthday parties and Celebration by Rollpublic is leading the way. How on earth they do it, we don’t know. But that piping is somewhat of a textural miracle!

Hello Sukar

Welcome to fat town, population me! Hello Sukar, your cakes are so dang beautiful we feel like they shouldn't be eaten. But then we got one for a birthday party and we couldn't resist. Turns out they taste even better than they look (we didn't think it was possible either).  We're convinced you must have some kind of magical wizard powers.

Ce C’s Cakes

Oh Ce C, you know the way to our heart. Choc drips, marshmallows, lollipops and all sorts of other magical goodies atop the most delicious cakes—Ce C's cakes will make you want to be a kid again! If you're not happy about the demise of the Women's Weekly birthday cakes and KitKats being used as fences, Ce C is your gal!
