Restaurant in Busselton

Seeking some inspiration for a romantic date night dins or a casual meal out with the entire gang on holidays?

Busselton is jam-packed with sweet little intimate spots as well as some fun slightly more rowdy breweries and bars ready for you to enjoy, so we’ve compiled our faves to help you plan your eating itinerary.

Here are some of the best Busselton restaurants to snap up a table at ASAP.

Alberta’s

We almost packed our bags and moved straight to Busselton when we heard about the opening of Alberta's. The cosy kitchen and store is run by a former head chef and head gardener from Noma (you know, that three-Michelin-starred Copenhagen joint that's often dubbed the world's best restaurant). But while the light and airy fit-out has loads of Scandi beauty, Alberta's is nothing like Noma. Instead you'll find a laid back brunch spot in the morning and a magic BYO eatery every Thursday, Friday and Saturday with some unpretentious yet stunning dishes that’ll leave you absolutely drooling.

Burger Bones

For the best burgers in town, head to Burger Bones. These guys are grilling some seriously good burgers packed with super fresh local ingredients that you’ll be dreaming of the entire trip. Their standard menu options are always a winner, but always check the specials—they'll usually feature whatever seasonal produce the owners picked up at the market.

Hally’s Bar

If you miss the rooftop vibes of the CBD, then check out Busso’s first rooftop beer garden at Hally’s. This multi-level venue has an intimate restaurant, beer garden, spacious rooftop bar and alfresco area perfect for relaxing and soaking up some sunshine. With live music, open mic nights and some of the southwest’s best BBQ, put this on your list.

The Fire Station

This intimate wine bar slash restaurant housed in the old Busso Fire Station has kept all the character and post-war charm of the 1936 architecture whilst bringing new life to a classic institution of the town. The clever team celebrates everything local, natural and organic both in their food and vino choices, with a rotating black board of incredible wines to sample that amalgamate perfectly with the slightly mediterranean-inspired tapas style plates ideal for feeding the whole friendship group. With moody lighting and chic super trendy decors, this is one not to miss.

Shelter Brewing Co.

Sitting pretty right on the water you’ll find Shelter Brewing Co, a gastropub and restaurant that not only creates some major brews but also serves up some epic tasty meals day and night for their visitors to enjoy. This huge chic industrial-style space has stacks of space both indoors and outdoors so that you can soak in the sunshine alfresco in the warmer months, and keep cosy during the Winter season. Share plates are the name of the game here—grab yourself a couple of woodfired pizzas, a few of their super seasonal delicious salads and some of their chilli mussels, and enjoy the all round good vibes that surround you.

Amelia Park Lodge

There’s something wonderfully quaint about the Amelia Park Lodge Tavern. Although rich and sumptuous in European furnishings and style, the tavern also caters for entire families and large groups searching for a relaxed atmosphere complete with a luscious beer garden and pub classics on the menu that we all know and love. Better still, they offer daily specials (think $35 scotch fillet Thursdays and $25 Sunday lamb shanks) so you won’t need to break the budget on eating out. Yum.

Albie’s Bar And Bistro

Live music, excellent pub grub and good old fashioned friendly service - there’s a lot to love at Albie’s Bar and Bistro. There’s always a buzzing atmosphere and lots of locals and passersby around ready to have a boogie, or just sip a few bevvies with mates. The menu focuses on simple homely dishes cooked to perfection and served generously so no one’s left hungry—our tip, get the fish of the day straight from the ocean just kilometers away.

Spice Odysee

Drop-dead-delicious Southern Indian flavours in our South West? It’s a huge tick from us. Spice Odysee (also known as The Hidden Kitchen) is not your traditional restaurant, but rather a food van that appears all over the city to dazzle and delight customers with some extraordinarily rich and decadent flavours from Chef Sathish’s very own family recipes.

Equinox

Another fabulous option on the jetty, Equinox Restaurant is open daily for brekky, lunch and dinner meaning you can grab a feast any time of the day when hunger calls. With stellar views from their outdoor terrace looking directly out to the sparkling azure waters, there’s few more divine places to perch yourself for a burger, great steak or just a cheeky sweet treat or dessert.

Al Forno

If you’re after a super relaxed no-frills feed, Al Forno is a no brainer. This beloved dine-in and takeaway spot is adored for its rich, fragrant mediterranean dishes that use traditional techniques to bring the finest local produce to life. The coolest part? If you’re craving a wholesome meal while on holidays, they offer a bunch of mouthwatering home-cooked meals that you can take home in their cookware and simply bring back clean again when you’re done, saving unnecessary wastage damaging our precious environment.

Hummingbird

This bright airy restaurant and cafe offers both an epic brekky and lunch menu that we can’t refuse. With a modern Australian influence, expect lots of bold bright flavours that sing on the dishes showing off plenty of the best local produce of the region. We can’t get enough of their miso pork belly and their big juicy garlic tiger prawns which teamed up with one of their zingy fresh cocktails makes an almost perfect afternoon.

The Goose

It seems The Goose has truly stood the test of time, sitting on the Busselton Foreshore for over 18 years feeding the hungry bellies of both travellers and locals alike for an entire generation. After a fire tragically ripped it apart in 2021, the team have worked tirelessly to bring a new revitalised all-day restaurant back to life (reopening over the next couple of months!) whipping up delicious casual dishes in one of the most picturesque locations money can buy. Keep your eyes on their socials to keep updated on their exciting new developments here.
