After announcing her 12th album, aka TS12, on Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights Podcast, the world of sparkles and friendship bracelets erupted into chaos, and for good reason.
Her fiancé (eeek!) Travis Kelce described the album as “more upbeat” than her previous records, to which Taylor replied, “life is more upbeat”. In true Tay fashion, our girl wasn’t content with giving us just an album, she had to go and drop a whole damn movie. And forget secret sessions, all the Swifties are invited to the premiere of this one, with a TS-endorsed, two-day global release party happening at a cinema near you.
The popstar announced the borderline religious experience on Instagram, saying:
“You’ll get to see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for my new single “The Fate of Ophelia”, along with never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut-by-cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album The Life of a Showgirl.”

Where Can I Watch The Life Of A Showgirl Movie In Perth?
Like we said, there’s plenty of local cinemas getting in on the fun, so there’s bound to be a Showgirl sesh near you, with the official release party taking place from October 3-5.
Diehard Swifties will want to get to Perth Playhouse on Friday 3 October for Perth’s very first viewing party. Curtains open at 8.40pm, and limited tickets are still available at time of writing.

Come Saturday 4 October, you’re spoilt for choice. Event Cinemas are kicking off their screenings bright and early, with sessions running from 5am on Saturday 4 October. Do like Tay and grab yourself a caramel non-fat grande latte, but you can catch showings throughout the day until 10pm.
Hoyts Cinemas are also getting in on the party from Saturday 4 October, with sessions running from 8:45am - 11.00pm. Don’t blame me if tickets sell out, this is a super limited screening!
Alongside the three day screening of The Life Of A Showgirl, Palace Cinemas is running a limited edition special, The Spritz Of A Showgirl, which gets you two aperol spritz for $28. The icy orange drink matches perfectly with the visuals on the album cover, which makes for a cute photo op for your IG stories. But in general? This special is made for you and a bestie to have a tipsy spritzy watch party.

‘Club Eras’ is Australia’s biggest Taylor Swift tribute event, and it’s landing at The Court just in time for The Life Of A Showgirl day. DJ Nic Holland is on the decks spinning back to back Taylor megasets, so you can sing at the top of your lungs. It’s The Court, so of course, there’s Taylor Swift drag tributes to get your live show fix. If you’re keen on this event, our best tip is to catch the movie in the morning, listen to The Life Of A Showgirl during pres, and then head out to Club Eras, because this is less of a listening party and more of a Taylor themed bonanza.
