Win Employee Of The Month By Taking Your Team To This Friday Lunch Hot Spot

By: Rebecca Keating

10th Mar 2023

The Stables, Perth

The only thing better than that Friday feeling is adding an epic long lunch to the mix and it still counting as work. Thanks to the good folk at The Stables, you and your colleagues can now feast on a spectacular long Friday lunch—with a little bit of business on the side if you must. How’s that for the last day of the working week?

Located among the action of Hay Street, this iconic CBD venue is known for its early morning coffee crowd with a newly added breakfast menu to get you set up for the day. You can get your hands on takeaway eats like muffins and banana bread and housemade paninis alongside its other dine-in classics. Breakfast and a morning walking meeting? Sounds like a time-saving exercise to us.

It’s the Friday corporate lunch where The Stables really understand the assignment. Whack a meeting with your team in the calendar and expect to see plates of seasonal eats designed to be shared alongside creative cocktails and great local and international wines (it is Friday after all). There’s even a private dining room if your team is on the larger and louder side.

The food offering changes daily, but when tucking into the chef’s menu you can anticipate the likes of crispy baby squid with roasted garlic and lemon mayonnaise, roasted Arkady lamb rack with herb and almond pesto and grilled romaine lettuce, plus grilled broccolini with mole almendrado and smoked cashew.  Plus, a cheeky housemade dessert for those with a sweet tooth in the office.

For those that get to kick back a little longer, continuing your lunch with afternoon drinks on the balcony before soaking up the atmosphere in the courtyard with live music and nibbling on a range of grazing boards is the ideal way to get a head start on your weekend. Invite your city-dwelling mates and you can really get the party started as the bar livens up with the after-five crowd.

Friday isn’t the only day for a satisfying work lunch in the CBD. The venue understands an hour can be over and done in the blink of an eye, which is why it introduced a $20 express lunch to get you fed and satisfied in ample time from Monday through Thursday. The Stables is dishing up pasta specials to start the week strong on Monday, Taco Tuesday (of course…), poke bowl specials on Wednesdays and a classic chicken schnitzel deal on Thursdays. The menu does change frequently though so creatures of habit, beware.

Head over here to book your next Friday long lunch and say “see ya” to the working week with a reservation at The Stables.
