Where Next? These Restaurants, Bars & Cafés Are Opening Soon In Perth
Spring’s been playing hard to get this year. A bit of sun here, a teasing breeze there, and a handful of exciting new openings keeping us hopeful, but for the most part, it’s felt like a very long, wet and relatively uneventful September so far here in Perth/Boorloo.
Fear not: I come bearing good news. I’ve been snooping around town and sniffing out the next big things, and believe me, the city’s about to bloom. From beachside boozers and hop-heavy havens to riverside brews and matcha-fuelled sanctuaries, spring is shaping up to be an absolute doozy.
Mark the calendar—here’s what’s landing in Perth before the year’s out.

Perth's Upcoming openings At A Glance
Now Open
Mons O’Shea
6 South Terrace, Fremantle

Freo hasn’t had proper craic in a while, but Mons O’Shea is here to set that straight. The brand spankin’ family-run Irish pub now open on the Cappuccino Strip comes from Dublin-born, third-generation publican Simon Carthy and his Aussie wife, Jo.
Up the front of the space, you’ll find a wee shop—a traditional format of pubs found in country Ireland—stocked with Irish staples and souvenirs. Down the back, the pub serves Guinness (and Guinness 0.0), Kilkenny and Wedgetail Dark Lager on tap, with scotch eggs, ham hock croquettes and epic toasties from the kitchen. There’s even a semi-private nook complete with a bell you can ring to summon a pint. Doesn’t get much better than that. Sláinte.
Ripple Brewing
5 Mather Road, Beaconsfield

Ripple made serious waves with the announcement of its impending opening earlier this year, and for good reason. Three years in the making (and a lifetime of beer know-how), Beacy’s new, neighbourhood taproom, Ripple Brewing, is just days away from flinging open its doors and letting the good times pour.
Headed by local brewer Joel Nash, Ripple is unapologetically enthusiastic about hops, tap-poured sherberts and weekend sessions that come with street food, plenty of parking and a playground for the kiddlywinks. There’ll be a new drop available each and every week, so you’ll never tire of the lineup of brews. Natural wines and spritzes are on the menu, too, plus a beer subscription, a perfect Chrissy prezzie for the pint-obsessed pal in your life. Keep an eye on the ‘gram for more info—the first froth will be here sooner than you can say ‘bottoms up’.
Bert’s
187 Challenger Parade City Beach
If you grew up in the Golden Triangle in the 50s or 60s, Bert’s might be living in your memory as the surf kiosk that served as a sandy-footed hangout. This spring, Bert’s is back, resurrected as a full-service pub and dining spot for a new wave of grommets, beachcombers and salty seadogs.
Taking over the old Odyssea site, Bert’s is serving a fresh take on coastal dining: local produce, shareable snacks, and a menu that flows from brekkie through sundown without ever losing its easygoing edge. Timber nods to the original kiosk keeps the heritage alive, but the vibe is all about soaking up the best bits of City Beach—sun, surf, and a community that knows how to kick back.
Coming Soon
White Horse Tavern
124 Amazon Drive, Baldivis
Image credit: White Horse Tavern | Website
Baldivis, saddle up. The White Horse Tavern is trotting into town this September with everything you want in a local. Sport on the big screens, a long list of beer taps, quality pub grub and stacks of space for long lunches, laid-back bevvies and family dinners. This is the kind of boozer that could have you seriously considering a move to the City of Rockingham.
Tigerfish
104 Marine Parade, Cottesloe 6011
It doesn’t get much better than cocktails on the coast, and the arrival of Tigerfish at the iconic Cottesloe Beach Hotel is about to turn up the heat. Bringing a spicy new Southeast Asian concept to Perth’s shoreline, this beachside bar is promising serious flash and flair — think jewel tones, moody corners, and a curved cocktail bar that glows come sundown. You’ll catch chefs working the open robata grill while you sip handcrafted cocktails and graze on fresh, punchy share plates. Designed to flow from breezy long lunches to late-night revelry, Tigerfish is shaping up to be Cottesloe’s hottest new coastal hangout.
Gladstones
Crown Perth, Great Eastern Hwy, Burswood WA 6100
Crown Perth’s hotly anticipated Urban Food District is finally taking shape, and leading the charge is Gladstones, an intimate fifty-seater wine bar pouring a taste of what’s to come. Designed to celebrate WA’s rich wine heritage and world-class vintages, the space promises a refined yet approachable vibe — think premium pours, moody interiors, and a focus on local excellence. As the first of three bars in the new precinct, Gladstones sets the tone for what’s shaping up to be Crown’s biggest hospitality investment in nearly a decade. Expect a full lineup of bars, a beer garden, and an international food hall to follow.
Yanchep Beach Club
222 Capricorn Esplanade, Yanchep
Image credit: Yanchep Beach Club | Supplied
From the crew who’ve already conquered Hilary’s with Hilary’s Beach Club comes Yanchep Beach Club, a seaside sibling that’s shaping up to be a showstopper.
An eight-metre marble bar will be slinging Aussie and international drops, creative cocktails and a slew of tap beers, while the kitchen’s dishing up Italian-inspired pub classics. Early birds can fuel for the day at the takeaway kiosk from 7am, and night owls can perch on the wraparound alfresco with uninterrupted views of the wild Indian Ocean.
But you’re going to have to wait a little longer. Yanchup Beach Club is set to open in November, with whispers of yet another stellar venue in the works for 2026. Watch this space.
Daily Practice
765 Canning Highway, Applecross
Image credit: Daily Practice | Instagram
South of the river, Daily Practice is brewing up more than just excellent coffee. Part café, part retail space, it’s a serene sanctuary where you can sip a silky matcha latte, browse some new threads and homewares, and then refuel with a hefty sanga, all without ever leaving the building. It’s coffee, style and sustenance under one roof, opening in Applecross this November.
Little Creatures Elizabeth Quay
9 The Esplanade, Perth
Image credit: Little Creatures | Website
Elizabeth Quay is about to get a serious splash of hops. Little Creatures Elizabeth Quay is the lovechild of the craft-beer legends and hospo heavyweights Three Pound Group, and it’s set to turn the sometimes-sleepy waterfront into a heaving weekend destination.
We can’t give you the exact date you’ll be sipping your first pale ale here, but expect a riverside spot with fresh beer, elevated pub grub and riverside revelry right in the city’s heart. With over 500sqm of internal space and 390sqm of alfresco for sun-soaked brews and people-watching, it’s about to become a must-stop for office warriors, Quay strollers and thirsty out-of-towners alike.
Little Creatures Fremantle
40 Mews Road, Fremantle
Image credit: Little Creatures | Website
It's been 25 years since Little Creatures poured its first beer in Freo, and now the harbour-side brewery is getting a $10 million facelift. Just a stone’s throw from the current Creatures on Mews Road, the new two-story space will come with a new tasting room, an outdoor play area dubbed The Den, a zhushed menu and jaw-dropping harbour views. No official date yet, but you can keep sinking freshly-brewed beers and wood-fired pizzas at the OG site until October.
