If you’re anything like us, nothing will get you more excited for a winter holiday than realising your accommodation has a bath. Exploring WA’s wow-worthy scenery, amazing wineries and gourmet foodie offerings are exciting enough as is, but knowing you can end your day by floating in a warm bath full of bubbles (bottle of wine optional) is really just the cherry on top.

Even better, there are a bunch of cosy cottages and cabins scattered around our stunning state with baths that overlook forests, rivers and all kinds of other awesome views—so pack your bath bombs and get booking.

Here are 10 cosy cottages and cabins with stunning baths to escape to this winter.

Jarrah Grove Forest Retreat

Rosa Glen

Since this cosy little forest retreat is nestled among a crowd of very tall trees, we won’t blame you for expecting your view of its exterior to be dark and obstructed. Pull up the blinds and you’ll be met with a whole assortment of beautiful Jarrah, Marri & Karri trees, especially from the bathroom. While the entire chalet is luxurious and contemporary, it’s the deep bath and enormous rain head shower with nature views that make it so much more special—and the edges of the bath are wide enough to store a couple of wines and candles, so you can go ahead and dial up the romance factor.

Tree Chalets

MARGARET RIVER

Nestled between rows of tall rosegum trees, these super cute self-contained eco chalets are equipped with all the luxe amenities you could ever need. But it’s the outdoor cast iron bath that’s calling our name. Set out on a wooden deck with views out onto native bushland, it’s the perfect spot to unwind with a bottle of Margaret River red.

Glauders Cottage

Pemberton

A quick 10-minute drive from Pemberton, Glauders Cottage is super unique because it’s the only property to be completely surrounded by the Karri forest on all sides, and two trout-filled rivers flow directly through it. Plus, the block is older than Pemberton itself! Other cool features of this 1900s colonial cottage include a custom-built bunk bed, charming wooden windows and plenty of red accents throughout the exterior and interior, including the deep red clawfoot bathtub. And if bathing inside doesn’t quite cut it for you, there’s a pretty neat built-in outdoor hot tub situated on the wooden deck with epic forest vistas.

Buxton Thomas

Dunsborough

This three-bedroom abode is nestled among nature and beauty, and its freestanding bathtub will not disappoint. Overlooking endless greenery and a lake, the interior boasts beautiful wooden hues and certainly has a luxe farmhouse feel. Watch the sun go down while sipping on some Margaret River wine on the beautiful balcony, and soak in the tub for some well-deserved relaxation.

Pelicans at Denmark Cottage

Denmark

Nestled among trees, wildlife, and the ocean is where you’ll find Pelicans. And it’s certainly got its name for a reason—you can peep out the window or step onto the balcony to see pelicans, wrens, finches and parrots soar over the property. A birdwatcher’s dream, the bathtub will also not disappoint. A very different but very cool round wooden room offering incredibly beautiful and peaceful views will greet you here, and you can step into a steaming bath while gazing out the window at the beautiful wildlife.

PERTH HILLS

Located 45 minutes east of Perth, Acorn Cottage in Mundaring is the perfect place for a quick and cosy getaway without actually driving too far from home. This gorgeous home is decked out with French country and vintage inspired decor—think curvy white furniture, roses and delicate chandeliers and an incredible clawfoot bathtub. You’ll feel like you’ve taken a trip to the British countryside.

Only a 20km drive from the CBD, you’ll feel like you’re worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Cape Howe Cottages: Kings Den

Lowlands

Kings Den of Cape Howe Cottages is quaint, secluded, and relaxing, with only four cottages sitting on this beautiful property. You’ll spot an abundance of wildlife as these cottages are nestled among 53 acres of beautiful bushland. You could head out for a hike through the stunning landscape, or do what we would: grab the bath salts and a robe and hop in the bath. Once you’ve soaked your worries away, sit on the beautiful balcony with a vino and take in the sweeping views.

Burnside Organic Farm

Margaret River

Prepare to soak yourself silly at this romantic farmstay in Margaret River. There’s two toasty little cabins to choose from and they both deliver big in the bath department. We can’t go past the two-bed, which has a deep stone bathtub with rustic copper and brass tapware set outside on a wooden deck overlooking the beautiful rural landscape. If you prefer to bathe indoors, the one-bed option has a stunning tub inside with great views too. Either way, we can’t think of a better place to relax after a day on the farm.

White Dog Lane Cottage Farm Stay

ALBANY

If you don’t mind having a bunch of goats and cows peeking in on you while you’re having a bath, then you’ll have absolutely no problem with visiting White Dog Lane Cottage Farm Stay. Seriously, you can hop in the bath of this 1910-built converted farm house, sit back and watch the world (and goats and cows) go by through two tall windows that overlook the undulating countryside. Besides animal-watching from the en-suite, there are plenty of other sights to be seen around this property, including a natural dam and part of the The Munda Biddi trail.
