If you’re looking for a way to really crank those cosy winter vibes as the colder weather approaches, start taking notes.
The temperature has been dialled right down at Perth’s iconic Ice Cream Factory event space as it's been transformed into a frosty winter wonderland complete with daily snow showers, an ice skating rink, private igloos and plenty of comfort food and alpine-appropriate drinks.
Brought to us by Australian Venue Co (The Aviary, The Globe, Wolf Lane, Sweetwater and more), entry to The Winter Village is free, so prepare to stroll straight in and order espresso martinis and all kinds of cosy bites from a range of pop-up bars and food vendors. Of course, if you’re wanting to take your trip to the Winter Village to the next level, we suggest pre-booking one of the incredible private igloos.
The Standard Igloo Package ($49 per person) includes your choice of wine or beer and an epic grazing plate to share complete with goodies like chips, dips, mini pretzels and cured meats, fried chicken bites, mac ‘n cheese croquettes, dirty fries and more, all topped off with a chocolate ice cream sandwich for dessert. Yum!
If you’re looking to step it up a notch, take a gander at the Premium Package ($69 per person), which also includes more sweet stuff—think espresso martini-flavoured chocolate fudge dipping sauce, berries, brownies, marshmallows and cookies—plus your choice of an Aperol spritz, espresso martini, wine or beer. And don’t worry, veggie substitutes are available for both.
Looking for more day-time fun? Their Brunch and Skate packages are the way to go. With outdoor ice skating sessions at 10am on Saturdays and Sundays, you can hit the ice rink for 45 minutes of fun before plonking yourself down in a private igloo to enjoy a well-earned brunch, all for just $35 per person (or $22 each for kids) including skate hire.
Before you head off, just make sure you catch one of the magical snow showers—they kick off every three hours from 12pm and are the closest you’ll get to the real deal here in Perth.
