The Verdict
Housed in the Old Coogee Hotel, Coogee Common is brought to us from the team behind Bread in Common. The 120 year old building has been carefully restored with a helping hand from property developer Adrian Fini and the result is phenomenal.
Chef Scott Brannigan develops the seasonal menu around what is available in the on-site garden so expect the dishes to be simple, fresh and bursting with flavour. Think roasted carrots with orange thyme buttermilk, potato gnocchi with zucchini and BBQ pumpkin with goats labneh and pomegranate. But don't worry, the carefully considered menu also has plenty of meaty options like coal roasted duck and slow cooked lamb rump to satisfy your cravings.
If you're just after a nibble, there are share plates available which are best enjoyed over a drink or two, whether it's a local wine, a botanical cocktail or their housemade elderflower soda.
Green thumbs out there will want to book the garden tour which includes a welcome cocktail and a two-course meal for just $60.

Gibney
White tablecloths, marble, jacketed wait staff and caviar bumps—Gibney is hands down the fanciest of all the venues under George Kailis' name. And honestly, it might just take the cake for 'most opulent dining destination' in all of Perth.
Tom’s Providore & Wine Bar

But thankfully since closing the OG, the legends have come back with a new and improved Tom’s in Highgate.
