Sitting pretty inside The Royal Hotel, fleur is as beautiful and as fancy as she sounds. With local produce front and centre, there’s plenty to get excited about when it comes to the menu. Think skull island king prawn tartlet with green apple and geraldton wax, kangaroo tsukune, tare and salted egg, aged duck breast with cabbage and apricots and a decadent 64% single origin dark chocolate, coconut and davidson plus dessert. Plus, if you're feeling extra you can always scope out the caviar menu (yep, this place is next level). Paired with a curated wine list, some stunning cocktails and equally lovely interiors, fleur is a favourite for special occaisions and that boujee date night you've been promising.
If you fancy an afternoon affair, get yourself to a high tea at fleur. Held every Saturday between 12pm and 2:30pm, you can expect savoury bites like heirloom beetroot in brik pastry, mortadella finger sandwiches, toasted corn cakes with whipped soft cheese and truffle, and kimchi arancini with cured egg yolk and kewpie. When it comes to sweets, there's lilly pilly ice, bay leaf and white chocolate mousse, lemon myrtle meringue pie and soy chocolate ganache, not to mention a selection of petit fours. Bookings are essential.
If that's not the perfect way to treat yourself this winter, we don't know what is.
