Whether you’re a cup or a cone fan, there’s nothing quite like an ice-cold ice cream to help cool you down after a long, hot day exploring Singapore’s streets. Thankfully, the city-state has an abundance of options when it comes to finding a decent ice cream in Singapore.

From vegan friendly recipes to local inspired flavours, Urban list has indulged in countless scoops to bring you our list of the best ice cream in Singapore—you can thank us later.

Creamier

In 2011, Creamier opened its doors in one of Singapore’s oldest heartland estates—Toa Payoh—with a desire to bring quality and affordable ice creams to the neighbourhood. Now, with six locations across the island, Creamier is a household name.

Available by the scoop or pint, their bestsellers include roasted pistachio, hokey pokey, chocolate peppermint and sea salt gula melaka. If that wasn’t enough, Creamier also has a line of doggie ice creams (known as Pup Cups) made using lactose free cow’s milk. They are also gluten free and low in sugar so they are totally pooch-friendly.

Just when you thought ice cream couldn’t get any better, the team at The Ice Cream Bar have gone and mixed theirs with alcohol. The boozy handcrafted ice creams, which are made with premium ingredients and top shelf liquors, are the perfect way to end a meal or even a night out.

We recommend the Baileys brownies (Baileys Original Irish Cream ice cream with delicious chocolate brownie chunks) and the Whisky Nuts (bourbon whisky ice cream layered with crushed honey roasted almonds, alcohol infused sponge cake and salted caramel sauce). For teetotallers and those who are underage, The Ice Cream Bar also has a selection of non-alcoholic flavours available.

Available at retailers across the country, you can expect classic flavours like vanilla and chocolate as well as locally inspired flavours like durian, chendol, calamansi and even bubble tea. They also have a growing range of vegan and dairy free ice creams. Our favourites include the vegan dark chocolate pint and the milk and cookies ice cream sandwich.

If that wasn’t enough to entice you, the brand is also listed as a Michelin Plate establishment, an accolade given out by the Michelin Guide to recognise good quality food.

Using real, natural ingredients and a range of fruits, flowers, pods, herbs and spices you can expect to see flavours like white chrysanthemum, lychee raspberry, sea salt hojicha, strawberry basil and spiced pear—all of which come served in house-made thyme cones.

Even if you're not a fan of ice cream, you'll want to check out Birds of Paradise just so you can take some snaps inside their dreamy, totally designed for Instragm stores.

With two outlets across Singapore—Sunday Folks Holland Village and Bynd Artisan + Sunday Folks ION Experience Store—those with a sweet tooth will be spoilt for choice.

Their ice cream flavours include earl grey lavender, creme caramel and dark chocolate Ferrero, but if you’re wanting to try something a little different, we suggest the blue pea coconut which comes with peanut thins, fried anchovies, coconut rice pudding, cucumber slices and a drizzle of sweet chilli sauce—think of it as the ice cream version of nasi lemak.
