If you’ve ever planned brunch around your dog’s nap schedule or abandoned a perfectly good cafe because the words “no pets allowed” were uttered, this one’s for you. While Singapore is still firmly an outdoor-seating-for-dogs-only kind of city, there’s a growing list of hotels and restaurants that are genuinely pet-friendly, not just technically tolerant. 

We’re talking places where water bowls appear unprompted, staff don’t flinch at fur under the table, and customers mostly tolerant, if not pet owners themselves. From all-access spots to park-side favourites perfect for post-walk refuelling, here’s where to eat, drink, and loiter with your four-legged plus-one.

Sun Ray Cafe

One of the OGs of the pet-friendly establishment scene and some of the very few cafes in Singapore that allows pets indoors, Sun Ray Cafe is a long-standing favourite among dog owners. Pets are genuinely welcome throughout the space, and there’s even a dedicated pet menu, making this feel more like a community hub than a reluctant compromise.

Expect hearty cafe fare, reliable coffee, and a steady stream of regulars, many of whom walk in on four legs.

Elephant Grounds

One of Singapore’s newest pet-friendly cafe, Elephant Grounds calls itself "pet-and-family-friendly", and allows pets at outdoor seating. Known for solid coffee and crowd-pleasing brunch dishes, it’s a dependable option when you want something familiar and fuss-free with your dog in tow.

Makan@JEN

Located within JEN Singapore Orchardgateway, Makan@JEN is a rare Orchard Road pit stop that allows pets to dine together in the outdoor seating area. Applicable on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays, paw-rents can bring their paw-friends to dine with them at buffet from 12pm to 4pm.
The menu leans local and familiar, with Singaporean classics done well, ideal for a casual meal or coffee break mid-errands.

Poison Ivy Bistro
