A Treasured Hastings Street Hotel Is Transforming Into A Luxury Wellness Resort
Luxury wellness will soon have a new address on Noosa’s bustling Hastings Street, with Sofitel Noosa set to transform into a stunning sanctuary of rejuvenation, dining, and elegance. Called Elysium Noosa, the sophisticated new hotel marks a massive elevation for the beating heart of Sunshine Coast—through curated details, a private plunge pool, and refined relaxation.
Launching this December, Elysium Noosa features 175 hotel rooms and suites meticulously designed for the discerning global traveller by Melbourne-based interior architecture studio, Mitchell & Eades (whose previous projects include Chin Chin, Grill Americano, and Maison Batard).

The main event is the oceanfront Elysium Suite, which features its very own private plunge pool that you can enjoy alongside sweeping views. There’s also the Prestige Suites that overlook the pool facing Noosa’s iconic Main Beach and the Poolside Junior Suites offering private cabanas for your convenience. This is all on top of the spacious balconies or terraces every Elysium Noosa suite or room includes.
Is your travel style all about nourishing the mind, body and soul? Then you need to lock in a visit to the Wellness Suites—our new favourite way to holiday. Featuring a private infrared sauna, terrace spa, and bespoke concierge service on hand to support your personalised wellness rituals, its luxury in its finest form; whether you’re making time for a Peloton workout or stretching into a reformer pilates session.
“We wanted to create a destination with global appeal—a new style of luxury for the region where Noosa’s essence is reimagined through a European lens,” said Mitchell & Eades’ Principal, Hayley Mitchell. “It was important that the guest rooms feel truly of place, with subtle nods to Noosa’s coastal lifestyle; from classic stripes and rattan to premium linens. Artworks and playful design details add personality and character to create a uniquely sophisticated coastal experience that speaks to both a young, active audience and those seeking indulgence with ease.”

Elysium Noosa’s signature dining spot will be the handiwork of celebrated restaurateurs Alessandro and Anna Pavoni, who are responsible for many of Sydney’s favourite (and award-winning) Italian dining institutions like Ormeggio at The Spit, A’mare, and newcomer Postino Osteria. For their first interstate endeavour, the duo will be bringing Cibaria to Queensland, as well as the coastal-inspired Bar Capri.
Delivering in both rest and indulgence, Elysium Noosa is the perfect addition to Hastings Street’s upscale pleasure state. “This transformation is far more than a rebrand,” said General Manager Mark Wilkinson. “It's a landmark evolution of one of Noosa’s most treasured hotels, a true legacy for the region.”
Elysium Noosa is the sister property to Manly Pacific, which was awarded UNESCO’s Prix Versailles in 2024—aka the title for literally being the world’s most beautiful—so we couldn’t be more stoked. With Queensland making massive global moves in the tourism space (we have the only spot in Australia to nab Michelin’s most prestigious rank), Elysium Noosa is undoubtedly in good company.
