Sunshine Beach

What’s better than yum cha? Mum-cha. Oh yes they did. Head to Embassy XO this Mother’s Day for an all-out Mum-cha experience. They’ll even shout ma a drink on arrival. Serving nine delectable courses from vegetarian or meat banquets, it all kicks off at midday. Taste your way around sweet potato dumplings, mouthwatering pork sandwiches and chocolate bao just to name a few. Yes, really.

Noosa Heads

Mums love fancy stuff. There, we said it. And after all those packed lunches, pancake parties and dinner feasts, here’s a little compensation: pull up a seat at one of Rickys many waterfront tables for an indulgent à la carte graze this Mother's Day. Think yellow fin tuna, yuzu and white soy with cucumber and finger limes, Spanner crab spaghettini with garlic and chilli. Or our favourite, milk chocolate cremeux, hazelnut parfait, with caramel and blackberries. See, fancy. Consider this one of the swankier ways to spoil mum on the Sunshine Coast this Mother’s Day.

A classic parlour inspired by English countryside, nibble your way around the speciality Mother’s Day menu featuring ribbon sandwiches, gourmet macaroons, freshly baked scones and a cheeky cheers of sparkling. Expect a tea-chinking cheers from mum with the most classic place to dine this Mother’s Day.

Cock & Hen

Twin Waters

You love mama, really you do. But sometimes she can be, well, loud. Keep the whole crew happy grooving to the sweet sounds of live music at Cock and Hen, while tucking into baked camembert in sourdough with thyme and honey. Hosting a three-course feast for groups of four, this Mother’s Day special features a smattering of green olive tabouli, roasted honey carrots with baba ghanoush and dukkah, plus whole slow-cooked lamb shoulder marinated in yoghurt and spices, all finished off with chocolate mousse brownies. If mum ever had to sit through your meals when you were learning to cook, now’s your time to make it up to her. Treat ma to a 5-course French degustation at award-winning The Long Apron. The menu’s under wraps for now, but we know one thing to be sure.  It’ll well exceed your half-fried flour and corn fritters mum had to say ‘mmmm’ to, for like, 5 years.

Still scratching your head on where to take mum this Mother’s Day on the Sunshine Coast? The legends at Lamkin Lane have you sorted. Dishing out their one-day only special, The Motherland Waffle, expect a seriously indulgent treat that’s as sweet as she.

Tides Waterfront


Switch tired mum with ‘Tides, Mum!’ and book one helluva luncheon with mama in one hand and a Champas in the other. Wanna spoil the socks off of mum, but treating her on a budget? Fratelli Fresh’s slow-cooked bonanza could be calling your name. Making a one-day only comeback, the much loved 12-hour slow-cooked lamb shoulder is enough to win over any mum’s heart. Served with steaming honey vegetables, brown butter and toasted almonds, mint salsa Verde and gravy, we’re sold. Kiddos eat free all day, too.
