Let’s be real: dining out in Sydney can be a real budget-buster. Urban List loves a restaurant feed as much as the next hungry Sydneysider, but a single sitting sometimes chews through our wallets faster than we can say “bill, please.”
Luckily, Uber Eats has a new app feature designed to help us dine out for less, and it’s launching in Sydney before anywhere else on the planet.
To celebrate the global debut of Dine Out with Uber Eats, Sydney’s top restaurants are taking over Rainbow Studios in Darlinghurst for a one-night-only culinary preview—and tickets are completely free.

Sydney’s Best Restaurants Are Gathering At House Of Eats
Ever dreamt of eating your way through Sydney’s best restaurants in one sitting? House of Eats makes that foodie fantasy a reality.
Curated by acclaimed Sydney chef and cookbook author Danielle Alvarez, the immersive four-course degustation brings together top-tier venues including waterfront Rose Bay fine diner Catalina, pasta-pumping institution Fabbrica, edgy burger empire Mary’s and neighbourhood bottle shop and wine bar P&V—all partners of Uber Eats’ new Dine Out offering.
“We’ve created a menu that’s playful, full of flavour, and a tribute to what makes each venue so beloved. Bringing them together was a delicious challenge—each so different, but all part of Sydney’s rich dining fabric,” says Alvarez.
Diners will work through exclusive dishes like Mary’s caviar-topped fried chicken with warm bread rolls and gravy, Fabbrica’s bottarga-loaded cacio e pepe, Catalina’s swish riff on fish and chips involving a pan-fried snapper and crisp salad, plus a green pavlova sporting sorrel sorbet, rhubarb and a yoghurt mousse—a dessert by Alvarez herself.
P&V is also pairing each course with an exciting lineup of wines sourced exclusively from New South Wales, and their signature Verde Negroni is on the cards, too.
Taking place among the art-filled walls of Rainbow Studios in Darlinghurst on Friday 8 August, there’ll be two seatings from 5pm and 8.30pm. The space will channel Uber Eats’ colour scheme, decked out in green hues with velvet drapes, drool-worthy centrepieces and a banging playlist to match the epic dinner lineup.
How To Score Free Tickets
Free tickets to House of Eats will drop at 9am on Tuesday 29 July, with limited seats available online. Tickets will be dished out on a first-come, first-served basis and are available in pairs—perfect for bringing along another foodie.
If you don’t manage to snag tickets (don’t panic), you can still get a taste of the action—Bondi’s cult-favourite brunch spot Harry’s is hosting a free breakfast on Saturday 9 August, 2025.
Swing by to score goodies on the house like a lemon- and ricotta-stuffed croissant roll drizzled in white chocolate and pistachio sauce with a pistachio crumb, plus Harry’s iconic canned matcha in a new mandarin coulis flavour.
