The EVE Hotel Sydney is the luxury boutique hotel completing the Wunderlich Lane precinct. It's a world of quiet luxury, while still embracing the hustle and bustle of Sydney’s inner city suburbs.
Independently owned by TOGA Group and operated by TFE Hotels, this Sydney hotel brings together the local creative talents of SJB’s Adam Haddow, 360 Degree’s Daniel Baffsky, and interior architect George Levissianis. It has over 100 rooms and combines Sydney’s cultural influences with Euro-inspired design and elevated dining options.
The Location
The EVE Hotel Sydney is at the heart of the new Wunderlich Lane lifestyle precinct at the meeting point of Redfern and Surry Hills.
On the corner of Cleveland and Baptist Streets, Wunderlich Lane combines heritage architecture with modern design. With must-visit restaurants like Olympus and Island Radio, it’s a one-stop destination for dining, shopping, beauty, event spaces and more.
The Vibe
The EVE Hotel Sydney is all about biophilic design, blurring the line between exterior and interior spaces. The hotel’s exterior is bathed in climbing ivy and exotic plant species while the cream tones and curved lines in the art-filled lobby are complemented by plenty of natural light and lush greenery.
“Every aspect of The EVE has been crafted to evoke a sense of style, sophistication, and comfort,” TFE Hotels CEO Antony Ritch said.
“From the unique architectural features to the meticulously designed interiors, we are looking to create a hospitality experience that is both visually stunning and welcoming for all.”
The Hotel Rooms
The EVE’s 102 boutique hotel rooms embrace a rich Australiana palette inspired by the flora and fauna of New South Wales. With hand-crafted glazed clay elements, bespoke lighting by Sydney designer Henry Wilson, and premium locally sourced fabrics, the rooms offer peaceful luxury and a touch of indulgence.
Room styles include king or twin Courtyard rooms, west-facing Sunset rooms, king Balcony corner rooms, and Sunset suites with spacious living areas. All rooms have Juliet or full balconies, or private terraces, overlooking the courtyard, Wunderlich Lane precinct, or surrounding neigbourhood, with the largest suites complete with deep bathtubs.
“The design of the hotel is rooted in our understanding of place. It is earthy and grounded and grows from our belief that the hotel is equally about creating connection and providing reprieve,” says SJB director Adam Haddow.
The Rooftop Pool
The EVE Hotel Sydney's rooftop pays homage to the precinct’s history as one of the city’s first pleasure gardens. It’s brimming with lush native plants and exotic palms, and the 20-metre rooftop pool for hotel guests is surrounded by textural natural stone, accented retro-style umbrellas, bespoke cabanas, and imported Sukabumi pool tiles.
The rooftop is also home to contemporary Mexican restaurant and mezcaleria Lottie, by one of Sydney’s premier experiential hospitality operators, Liquid & Larder (the people behind The Gidley, Bistecca, The Rover and Alfie’s).
With panoramic views over Surry Hills and Redfern, this Sydney rooftop restaurant is designed for pure escapism with all the holiday feels.
The Lobby Bar
Bar Julius is open to hotel guests as well as the general public. Inspired by the European-style bistros of New York City, it offers an all-day continental dining and drinks menu.
Bar Julius is another Liquid & Larder venue, so you can expect their signature flair—from the opulent marble bar and leather seating to the extensive range of carefully curated cocktails, wines, and culinary delights.
Open early and up late; there are no rules at Bar Julius. Grab breakfast, a midday martini, or settle in for a late-night dinner.
