When we love something we really, truly LOVE something! And that’s exactly how we feel about our new relationship! Some things just go together. Like cookies and cream, Brandon and Brenda… The Urban List and MINI!

Our two families have collaborated to bring discerning readers and drivers a new fortnightly series – MINI Fave 5s. The must-try guide to Sydney, celebrating the launch of the new MINI 5-door hatch!

So, Urban Listers, clear the diary and get excited for our Fave 5s. There’s a whole year of eating, drinking and discovering to be done…

With Mother’s Day coming up (FYI it’s Sunday 10th May—don’t forget!), it seemed only fitting we share with you our favourite florists in Sydney. We’re firm believers that flowers in the home or office make you feel wayyy happier, so we think you need to treat yo’ self (or your mum) with fresh flowers more often.

If it’s just a simple bouquet or a full on flower arrangement, these Sydney florists are some of the best in town and guarantee you the prettiest blooms.

So, who’s on our list of Fave 5 Sydney Florists? Read on!

Oh Flora Flowers

Leichhardt

Oh my! The flowers available from Oh Flora Flowers are simply breathtaking. Focusing on naturally beautiful arrangements, Tanya Shaw and her small team of florists create romantic flower crowns (we’re in love with them!), bouquets, and accessories all with a personal touch. Gorgeous terrariums and string gardens are also available, as well as workshops that are perfect for birthdays and hens parties.

Mr Cook

Double Bay

For 20 years, Sean Cook (aka Mr Cook) has been providing some of Sydney’s most beautiful floral arrangements for homes, offices, events and weddings. Having recently opened their Double Bay studio, if you’re after something colourful and luxe, this is your place. We can’t get enough of Mr Cook’s floral stylings and we sure you’ll agree that this is one of the best florists in Sydney too.

Seed Flora

Glebe

Located in an old church in the backstreets of Broadway sits Sydney florist, Seed Flora. Known for their stunning collection of seasonal flowers as well as gorgeous potted plants and orchids, owners George Low and Elizabeth Johnson give a personal touch when it comes to selecting your flowers. Whether you’re after a fully flowered-out wedding or just a simple bouquet for Mum, you’ll be well looked after at Seed Flora.

Cosmo's

Neutral Bay

A go-to florist for those in the Lower North Shore, Cosmo's Florist has over 45 years in the flower business. Specialising in wedding flowers, the team at Cosmo's also provide fresh flowers and plants that are perfect for gifts or little mood lifters for yourself. Now offering online shopping, we know who we’ll be ordering flowers from for friends’ birthdays that we may have accidentally forgot about (until Facebook reminded us).

Maggie May Flowers

Bondi

One of the best florists in Sydney, Maggie May Flowers can be found in the clean eating, beachside suburb of Bondi. Founder Jenni May prides herself on creating beautiful floral pieces for everyday life (who doesn’t love fresh flowers in the house?!) all the way to huge events for hundreds of people. For those who want a hands-on experience, Maggie May Flowers also have a flower school where, for $150, you can learn how to create your own beautiful bouquets.

We're thrilled to partner with MINI to bring you our Fave 5 series—our fortnightly guide to the best of the best in Sydney. From food to fashion, Campari to Crossfit, each Fave 5 edition is researched and recommended by The Urban List, and driven by the new MINI 5-Door Hatch—putting the city at your fingertips and giving you the freedom to explore it!
