There are just some shows that just feel like a warm hug. You fall in love with the characters, laughing and crying alongside them as they triumph and fall—Younger is absolutely one of those shows (yes, we do occasionally stray from true crime viewing).
So when we heard the news that Younger was set to wrap after its seventh season, we’ll be honest, we shed a tear or two.
For those who aren’t familiar (how? why?) the series, created by the legendary Darren Star (Sex and the City, Emily in Paris), chronicles the life of Liza Miller (Sutton Foster)—a talented editor navigating the highly competitive world of publishing while juggling the complications of mixing business with pleasure and facing the lie she created about her age to land her dream job. AKA she pretended she was 26 to score it.
Spoiler alert incoming: in season six we finally saw Liza's big secret as a 40-something (instead of a millennial) out in the open with an unforgettable cliffhanger ending to the season.
We were left with so many unanswered questions. Will Sutton marry Charles? Or will she end up back with Josh? Maybe it's neither (FYI we’re team Josh).
Well you can finally stop guessing, because today streaming platform Stan announced that Younger Season seven is premiering 16 April. But what’s even better news is that the first four episodes will be dropping all at once. So bring on the binge!
