Best Pet-Friendly Airbnbs
Spring Hill | Sleeps 6
Springhill Retreat
Oh hello gorgeous pet-friendly home with private outdoor sauna, pool and epic outdoor entertaining space. If a getaway with added extras tempts you and the crew then this Airbnb in Brisbane’s Spring Hill is one of the best to add to the list. Large windows mean this pad is light and airy, with charming cottage vibes and open-plan living.
Play ball with the dog in the lush grass garden, or take a load off in the lounge in front of the 50-inch TV. You’re just a couple of kilometres from Queen St in the city here, so we reckon a spot of window shopping might be in order during your stay. Or maybe you and the pooch just want to hang at home, lounging by the poolside with a cocktail (zero judgement here).
Newstead | Sleeps 2
Artsy Apartment
If you love your Airbnbs light, bright and a little bit arty, this pet-friendly central Brisbane stay is just the spot for a vacay with Floof. This place can be configured as either a one-bedder or two-bedder depending on your needs and has the river, green spaces, bars and eateries galore around it.
Your accommodation has modern art on the walls and a Paris-inspired plant-filled balcony which is a pretty epic spot to sit with a glass of wine. It sits in a complex with shared access to a gym and large pool complete with sun loungers and barbecue in a garden setting. We just love how the host has arranged a little pet space in the bedroom, with an antique grandfather chair and blanket for the furry one to use during their stay.
South Brisbane | Sleeps 4
Chic Two-Bedder
Live the millionaire lifestyle and bring the dog along for the ride at this New York loft-style apartment in the heart of Brisbane. Your pet-friendly stay has floor-to-ceiling windows everywhere that give you the most brilliant views of the city, river and Mt Cootha.
Everything is luxe here, and you’ve got two 75-inch smart TVs to play with (because, well, one just doesn’t cut it). Make your city-centre stay even more extra with a visit to the on-site lap pool, gym or cinema room. The complex also has a sauna and a rooftop with a barbecue and spa if you fancy it, although we reckon it’s just as epic sitting at the bar on the private verandah with a glass of something fabulous, drinking in that view.

Embrace inner-city living in a seriously stylish space at this charming Queenslander, within easy access of shops, cafes and the beach at Southbank. Your Brisbane Airbnb is a renovated workers’ cottage that dates back to 1890, and inside you can expect hardwood floors, ornate touches, and some big bi-fold doors that open onto a spacious covered deck.
Get into those socks and pad on out to the comfy couch out here. There are views of the city to enjoy—with a cheese and cracker and a splash of something tasty perhaps? It’s worth noting that this place is pet-friendly on negotiation, so you’ll want to make sure the Floofy one is on their best behaviour and message the host in advance.
Deagon | Sleeps 4
Gasworks Creek Cottage
Looking for a cosy pet-friendly home away from home for a few days? Gasworks Creek Cottage is nestled on the border of Brisbane’s northern bay side and is just a few minutes walk from stunning waterfront views.
With a queen, sofa and bunk bed and a grassed outdoor area, there’s plenty of space for you, the kids plus your pup to play. Thanks to an indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit, it’s great for the winter months too–did someone say s'mores for dessert?

Best Pet-Friendly Hotels

Fortitude Valley
Hotel X
If your dog loves the good things in life just as much as you, you’ll definitely want to check out this five-star hotel. The new dog-friendly room at Hotel X welcomes pups (and their owners) to holiday in luxury. The package includes a balcony room equipped with all you and your fur baby would need including a luxury pet bed, food and water bowls, clean up bags and a pet bandana.

New Farm
Spicers Balfour Hotel
Occupying a top spot among the leafy streets of New Farm, Brisbane, Spicers Balfour Hotel gives guests stately vibes and hidden surprises, all within seven minutes of the bustling city centre. The 17 suites here are split between two buildings. Nine sit in a charming Queenslander and come with king or queen beds. If you’re after a little more space, or need a pet-friendly room, you’ll want to opt for one of the eight 38sqm Balfour Suites which occupy the 1940s art deco-style Simla building instead.
Settle in and get showered up before heading up to the rooftop bar for a sunset cocktail. You can gaze out over the rust-coloured roofs of heritage-listed cottages here and out towards the Story Bridge as you plan the day ahead. Brunch comes courtesy of the on-site restaurant—The Balfour Kitchen & Bar—where you can munch in the courtyard beneath the shade of a vibrant plane tree. Later, we reckon a stroll around the 37-acre New Farm Park might be in order.
Fortitude Valley
Ovolo Brisbane
We have a soft spot for any hotel with themed rooms, so take a seat and brace yourself as we give you the low-down on Ovolo Brisbane's luxe Rockstar Suites. There are two available, with one dedicated to Prince (called Purple Rain, of course), and one a nod to David Bowie called Major Tom, both a collision of art, music, pop culture, and, of course, ultimate comfort, with a kitchenette, bedroom and living area.
Fun themed rooms aside, Ovolo’s other rooms and suites are spot-on with their playful spin to totally complement the Fortitude Valley suburb in which it lives. And dog lovers will think their V.I.Pooch package, with amenities beyond the standard belly rub are... well... pawsome.
Brisbane City
W Brisbane
Yes, it’s true—Brisbane has its own W Hotel, and it’s just as flash and fun-loving as you’d expect. Perched on the edge of the river at the bottom of Ann Street with some pretty top-notch views of South Bank, W Brisbane's ostentatious rooms range from ‘Spectacular’ to ‘Wow’, with bonus mod cons like Bluetooth speakers and GHD hairdryers.
Pets are truly welcome here and not just tolderated, but it's worth noting that you need to call or email the hotel for more information on their pet accommodation, dogs are not allowed in the restaurants and must be on a lead when travelling through public areas.
