If it’s not already super obvious, which we highly doubt, we at The Urban List HQ are massive, MASSIVE fans of a good market.

Thankfully, we live on the Gold Coast. Which is awesome because a) it’s the Gold Coast, and b) we have a shitload of variety when it comes to satisfying our stall-hopping cravings.

We know you feel the same way, so take your pick of all the best markets on the Gold Coast worth visiting this February!

We live for cute market finds (mostly so we can boast about them to our friends). 

Summer Swap Meet 

If you’re yet to make friends with Mermaid Beach’s groovy new cafe hangs, Hula Girl Espresso, then swing on down this weekend for a feel-good Summer Swap Meet. Like-minded locals will gather with all kinds of vintage goodies from vinyl to clothing, motorcycle parts and more. 

When: Sunday 4 February; 8am to 2pm

Nobby’s Sundayz Sessions

If your idea of a perfect afternoon is salty sea breezes, beachside live music, frothy craft brews and delicious food truck chews, you’d best be clearing your Sunday arvo to join Nobby Beach SLSC’s first edition of Nobby’s Sundayz Sessions. All they request is a tiny gold coin donation to enter, while those good vibes come for free.

The Village Markets

Muse over local designers, shoulder sway to live musicians and dig your teeth into some delicious street food at Gold Coast’s bi-monthly Sunday ritual, The Village Markets. We can almost guarantee you’ll be walking away with an empty wallet with the likes of ceramics, homewares, bohemian threads and accessories, all-natural beauty products, babies wear so adorable your ovaries will burst, and oh so much more. Are you searching for one of the very best markets on the Gold Coast? Well, you’ve come to the right place. 

When: Sunday 4 & 18 February; 8:30am to 1pm
Where: Burleigh Heads State School, 1750 Gold Coast Highway, Burleigh Heads

Mount Tamborine Country Markets 

So, maybe you don’t need to stock up on polish for your horse saddle. And maybe your teapot isn’t in need of a new crochet jumper. But we challenge you to find a more uplifting market experience than the Mount Tamborine Country Market. Held in the Tamborine Mountain Showgrounds on the second Sunday of every month, it’s the perfect excuse to take a country drive, gnaw on a cob of corn and pick up some homemade lemongrass and lavender soap.

When: Sunday 11 February; 7:30am to 1:30pm
Where: Corner Main Western Road and Bartle Road, Mount Tamborine 

Murwillumbah’s Makers & Finders Market 

If you’ve not ventured down to Murwillumbah for a while, the rural town’s hip vintage, handmade and flea market is a very good reason to pack the car, your mates and your favourite tunes, before plunging into the countryside for some of that welcomed fresh air. The Makers & Finders Market is intriguing blend of pre-loved finds, potters, homewares, jewellery, flowers and plants food stalls, workshops and music. 

When: Saturday 17 February; 9am to 2pm
Where: Knox Park, Brisbane Street, Murwillumbah

Gold Coast Hinterland Feast

Take a break from the beach and breathe in that fresh country air at February’s Gold Coast Hinterland Feast. Popping up in the leafy surrounds of Paradise Country Parklands, come for the food truck and street food eats, local musicians and activities for the ankle biters. 

When: Sunday 18 February; 4pm to 8pm

Club Robina Eats Brews Bowls  

Another on the monthly rotation thanks to The Social Markets, head to Club Robina Bowls Club Night Markets this weekend for that chill community vibe, makers’ stalls, food trucks, loads of kids entertainment and, of course, free bowls with yo’ shoes off.

The Green Marquee Eco Twilight Markets 

At The Green Marquee Eco Twilight Markets, expect all the feel-good community vibes as you wander around market stalls adorned with handmade jewellery, textiles, ceramics, vegan skincare, hanging plants; plus delish food trucks, live music to get you grooving, fresh produce from Ground Grocer, coffee and cakes from Pasture & Co., activities for the kids, plus local brewskies from Black Hops for the adults.

The Surrounds Summer Social 

Opening their arms and welcoming the community in for a festive evening of food trucks, live musos and fireworks, this February The Surrounds are teaming up with NightQuarter organisers for a family-friendly Summer Social night market. And y’all invited! 

When: Saturday 10 February; 5pm to 8pm
Where: The Surrounds, Country Club Drive, Helensvale

Chinatown’s Lunar New Year 

Only visit Southport’s Chinatown once a year? Make it this February for the annual Lunar New Year celebrations. Between 4pm and 9pm, pathways will be buzzing with Asian-infused street food vendors (hellooo, dumplings!), a busy roster of live music, cultural displays, workshops, a pop-up laneway bar, fireworks and plenty more to keep the family entertained.

The Social Markets

This year, The Social Markets are back into regular rotation on the last Saturday of the month. So, take your posse to Mermaid Beach Bowls Club for market stalls galore, pop-up bars and food vendors, live tunes and DJ, barefoot bowls under lights and a cheery crowd. Cheers to autumn!

When: Saturday 24 February; 4pm to 9pm

Miami Marketta

It’s a Friday or Saturday night and you’ve got no desire to cook dinner. But you’ve only got $20 in the kitty, so heading to your fave sit-down restaurant is a total stretch. So, what’s a hungry, not-keen-to-cook person to do? Two words—Miami Marketta. This long-established gem is held every Friday and Saturday night (and on a smaller scale on Wednesdays) and pulls together some of the best ethnic food stalls from across the Coast. Pair it with an electric vibe, revolving roster of toe-tapping bands and DJs, multiple cocktail bars, a dessert hall, creative stalls and a buzzing family-friendly crowd, and you’ve got one of the absolute best markets on the Gold Coast.

When: Every Wednesday (5pm to 10pm), Friday (5pm to 11pm) and Saturday (4pm to 11pm) 
Where: 23 Hillcrest Parade, Miami 


Everybody has to go to Helensvale’s NightQuarter at least once. Why? Because this buzzing night marketplace really is something else. Held every Friday and Saturday night from 4pm, it brings together ridic food and drink stalls (do NOT eat dinner before you get here), dessert carts and musicians, all in a well-organised jumble of up-cycled shipping containers. This February, they’ve got a tonne of special events from Waitangi Day on Saturday 3 February to their Brazilian Carnival on Saturday 10 Feburary. Let it be said though, that this night market gets packed. As in PACKED, packed. So, bring $3 coinage for entry, your lazy weekend mood and just go with the flow.

Sanctuary Markets 

Great for a delish and fast feed, this family-friendly night market is held in the space adjoining the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and is filled with international food tents and trailers. Keep this community feel-good market in mind, if a stroll followed by plenty of street eats sounds like your kind of way to end the perfect beach day.

When: Every Friday night; 4pm to 9pm
Where: Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, 28 Tomewin Street, Currumbin  

Naturally, producing all the yummy goods.

Currumbin Community Markets 

Strategically located at the entrance to Currumbin’s fertile valley—meaning a shorter distance from source to market—this new boutique farmers market is certain to become a mid-week ritual. Fill your basket with organic fruits and vege, meats, jams and baked goods, then stay for the breezy live music, picnic blanket hangs and activities for the little tots. 

When: Every Thursday; 7am to 11am
Where: Opposite Currumbin RSL, Currumbin Creek Road

Palm Beach Farmers Market

A weekly must-do on any Palm Beach or Currumbin dwellers’ weekend social calendar, the Palm Beach Farmers Markets is one of the best markets on the Gold Coast. This well-patronised market has truckloads of local, leafy, tasty things to eat, so if you’re in charge of the BBQ salad this weekend, make sure you stop here. This is also a plastic bag-free market, so BYO reusable vessel to carry your goodies. 

When: Every Saturday; 6am to 11:30am

Burleigh Farmers Market 

If community vibes and homemade chutneys are your weekend jam, then trot along to the Burleigh Farmers Markets on any given Saturday from 7am until noon, where an abundance of farm fresh produce sits amongst flower pop-ups, collectables and international street food stalls. Clear your afternoon post visit, you’ll be in the stay-at-home-and-bake-apple-strudel kind of mood.

When: Every Saturday morning; 7am to noon
Where: Burleigh Heads State School, 1750 Gold Coast Highway, Burleigh Heads

New Helensvale Farmers Market

This northern Gold Coast market has everything you need—and plenty you don’t, but you want anyway. From fresh fruit and veg to flowers and, of course, street food stalls, we love the leafy surrounds, cruisy live music and no-frills local vibe of this weekly gathering.

When: Every Saturday; 6am to 11:30am 
Where: Helensvale State High School, 243 Discovery Drive, Helensvale

Mudgeeraba Farmers Market 

Drop by the Mudgeeraba Farmers Market to stock your pantry this month. This classic little market in the park has farm-fresh produce, crafts, plants, flowers and street food eats to chew while you shop.

When: Every Saturday; 6am to 11:30am
Where: Mudgeeraba Showgrounds, 115 Mudgeeraba Road, Mudgeeraba 

Bundall Farmers Market

If you like your markets minus the hipsterness, Bundall Farmers Market is as down to earth as they come. Held every Sunday in the grounds of the Arts Centre Gold Coast, we suggest hitting a coffee stall for a steaming brew before filling up your netted bags with fresh produce, baked goodies and everything picnic-worthy. Then, use this picnic spot list to find the perfect posi to lay down your rug and brunch.

Organic Gold Coast Farmers Market

Do you get depressed when picking through the tiny all-organic veggie offerings at the local Woolies? Well, you’ll find mindful foodie nirvana at the Organic Gold Coast Farmers Market. Popping up at Miami State High School every Sunday morning, this super chill market stocks, you guessed it, nothing but sustainably sourced, spray and chemical-free produce.
