The Best Tiramisu On The Gold Coast Worth Saving Room For

By

Who doesn’t love a tiramisu? Honestly, I didn’t—at least not at first. For years, if it was the only dessert available, I’d go without, underwhelmed by the whipped cream concoctions I'd been subjected to. In hindsight, my opinion had been shaped by far too many lacklustre versions served at parties, made by well-meaning people who, unbeknownst to me, had no idea what it was supposed to taste like.

That all changed the day my sister returned from a long stint in Europe and proudly dished up a homemade tiramisu for the family. I took a reluctant spoonful—layers of cocoa-dusted mascarpone cream and savoiardi soaked to perfection in coffee and liquor—and had what I can only describe as a dessert epiphany. I finally understood the hype.

Since then, tiramisu has become my go-to—if it’s on the menu, I’m ordering it. So, after eating my way along our coastline in pursuit of the perfect one, I’ve rounded up 10 of the best tiramisus on the Gold Coast worth saving room for,  in North to South order.

Franquette

155/157 Long Rd, Tamborine Mountain QLD 4272

Okay, this one might be a little outside the Gold Coast, but it’s worth every minute of the scenic drive up Tamborine Mountain. The tiramisu at Franquette is so beloved that it regularly sells out; blink and you’ll miss it.

Silky, punchy, and not too sweet, it’s the kind of dessert that lingers in your memory long after the last spoonful. One of the best tiramisus near the Gold Coast? Absolutely.

Gemelli Italian

2/2685 Gold Coast Hwy, Broadbeach QLD 4218

The Gemelli brothers have built a name for themselves with top-tier Italian fare, and their tiramisu definitely lives up to the hype. It’s creamy, generous, and dangerously good—so good, in fact, that sharing becomes a real challenge.

After indulging in their creamy pastas, pillowy gnocchi or woodfired pizzas, this is the only fitting way to finish. With four locations across the Gold Coast (and one in Brisbane), you’re never far from some of the best tiramisu around. While Gemelli Broadbeach might be their most well-known location, our new favourite spot is Papa Rolly's, a more casual, neighbourhood-style trattoria in Carrara. It's worth checking out, trust me.

Cucina Vivo

The Star Gold Coast, Lobby Level, 1 Casino Drive, 1 Casino Dr, Broadbeach QLD 4218

With its award-winning wine list, wood-fired fare and light, airy fit-out, Cucina Vivo is already a Gold Coast favourite. But their tiramisu? It’s next-level, and easily one of the best tiramisus on the Gold Coast.

Rich, authentic and expertly crafted, it’s the cherry on top of a beautifully indulgent Italian experience. We also love that the team regulary add new limited-edition flavours for special occasions, like their hot cross bun tiramisu for Easter. Just be sure to save room—you won’t regret it.

Sofia’s Bar & Restaurant

Oasis Shopping Centre, Shop 35a/53 Victoria Ave, Broadbeach QLD 4218

Sofia’s Bar & Restaurant has perfected the art of tiramisu; their secret recipe has been on the menu since day one, and it’s garnered a cult-like following for good reason. Balanced, creamy and just the right amount of boozy, it’s everything a classic tiramisu should be.

Pair it with an Aperol spritz in their breezy, coastal-inspired space for peak Italian summer vibes. This stunning spot is pure Broadbeach bliss.

Sapori

60 Santa Cruz Blvd, Clear Island Waters QLD 4226

Sapori is the kind of place you discover once, then dream about for weeks. Their tiramisu is a traditional, no-frills triumph—lush, bold and beautifully executed.

Nab an outdoor table, order a bottle of wine, and round out your evening with this dreamy dessert. It’s quietly one of the best tiramisus on the Gold Coast, and well worth seeking out.

Piatto

2460 Gold Coast Hwy, Mermaid Beach QLD 4218

Tiramisu is not always on the menu at Piatto, but when it is, you’d better make your way there as fast as possible. This pocket-sized establishment serves up some of the best Italian food on the Gold Coast, and their tiramisu is no exception.

Creamy, boozy, and decadent, it’s best enjoyed slowly with one of their signature cocktails in hand. Pro tip: make a night of it, because you’ll definitely want to stay awhile. I recommend making a night of it, because you’ll definitely want to stay awhile.

Crispy Italian Bar

4/1840 Gold Coast Hwy, Burleigh Heads QLD 4220

Crispy Italian Bar might fly under the radar, but their tiramisu deserves a serious spotlight. It’s rich, velvety, and impeccably balanced, with no one element overpowering the other.

The bitterness of the cocoa, the creaminess of the mascarpone, the perfectly soaked sponge—chef’s kiss. And with a venue expansion in the works, this Italian gem will have even more space for all of us tiramisu lovers.

The Deli By Pepe Italia

13/1102 Gold Coast Hwy, Palm Beach QLD 4221

At The Deli by Pepe Italia, the tiramisu is classic, simple, and absolutely unforgettable. It’s the kind of dessert that doesn’t need frills to make an impact, just perfect texture and flavour.

After devouring a few truffle-laced pastas or gooey four-cheese pizzas, this creamy masterpiece is a must. Oh, and they also host cheese wheel night on Wednesdays—need we say more? This is one of our favourite Palm Beach restaurants, hands down.

Tommy’s Italian

818 Pacific Parade, Currumbin QLD 4223

I got my tiramisu from Tommy’s Italian to take away (blasphemy, some might say—but I stand by my choice) and wandered to the beach across the road, where I listened to the waves roll in as I savoured every last spoonful of the decadent dessert. It was, in a word, magical.

Of course, dining in is a whole experience in itself—start with the pesto burrata (IYKYK), add some sourdough focaccia, and pair it all with a glass of Italian red. Either way, Tommy’s delivers one of the most memorable tiramisus on the Gold Coast.

Bar Evelyn

20/58 Marine Parade, Coolangatta QLD 4225

Bar Evelyn and its sister venue, Cadilla Supper Club, have put their own spin on tiramisu, and it’s so good it’s sparked chatter up and down the coast. Scooped straight from a larger tray (as some purists argue it should be), their version is silky, rich and just the right amount of nostalgic.

It’s rare to see a table wrap up without a generous serving landing in front of them, usually alongside one of their dangerously good cocktails. One of the Gold Coast’s best tiramisus with a twist? No question.
