Mother’s Day is a mere 24 hours where we attempt to repay Mum for a lifetime of love. For the nappies, the pick ups and drop offs, the home cooked meals, the advice, the hugs and everything else your real life Wonder Woman did. We’ve scoped eight ways to treat her on Sunday 12 May.

Flower Crown High Tea At Craft Parlour

There’s no better way to connect than with a shared experience so treat Mum to a flower crown creating class, while enjoying a quaint high tea at the new and improved Craft Parlour. Blooms will be supplied by Elle Jay Floristry and they’ll be serving up organic MAYDE tea, homemade scones, cakes and raw treats. It’s open to all ages so bring all the special ladies in your life, from Mum to your Nan, aunts, sisters or a best friend.

When: 10am to 12pm
Where: The Craft Parlour
Cost: $80

The team at Salt Meats Cheese are running a step by step pasta master class where you’ll learn how to create fresh pasta from scratch. Enjoy a light antipasto snack while the dough is resting and then once it’s ready, sit down and devour the pasta with a glass of wine in hand.

Sweat It Out At The Mother’s Day Classic

What do you get when you combine endorphins with a great cause? The Mother’s Day Classic. Round up the whole family and sweat it out to raise much needed funds for life-changing breast cancer research. You can choose to either run or walk (4km or 8km), depending on how much you’re planning to talk (and sweat). It starts and finishes in Pratten Park, making it easy to wander to the beach for a cool down or a nearby cafe to fuel up.

When: Registration opens at 6am
Where: Pratten Park, Broadbeach
Cost: $55 per person

Whisky Feast At The Scottish Prince

Think delicious eats like forest mushroom and truffle pate with toasted sourdough and whisky and maple glazed lamb cutlets with rosemary potatoes and green pea basil pesto. Afterwards, they’ll have a cheeky little 'afternoon tea' with house-made scones and whisky and tea pairings to keep Mum happy!
