Running from Friday to Sunday, each day will feature a variety of sweet treats. From doughnuts to crepes, they’ll be something to knock everyone into a sugar coma. Open House Melbourne
Open House Melbourne is kicking off again this weekend! Running since 2008, Open House aims to connect people with Melbourne’s great architecture scene. This year over 100 buildings will be featured, so Melburnians can explore some of Melbourne’s most iconic and quirkiest buildings. Most of the buildings are open access and self-guided, with some featuring pre-booked tours due to their limited capacity. This is the perfect way to see what makes Melbourne unique!
The Sisters’ Market is gracing Melbourne Central one last time this weekend, so be sure to head down if you haven’t already. Running from 10am to 6pm at Melbourne Central, it’s the perfect place to search for some unique finds. Each stall promises to bring you the very best of its craft, be it jewellery or plants. This market will showcase Melbourne’s very best! There’ll also be some food on offer to keep your bellies full while you hunt for a bargain.
Meat Fish Wine vs. Red Spice Road
Meat Fish Wine are taking on Red Spice Road this Thursday night in an East meets West cook off! Head chefs from both restaurants will use identical ingredients to create five different courses of delicious nosh! Will you feast on Red Spice Road’s pork belly with chilli caramel, or Meat Fish Wine’s pork belly with pineapple sage? This is definitely one not to be missed, so grab your tickets here.
Aquarium After Dark
If Finding Dory made you have major nostalgia feels, the Melbourne Aquarium is staying open after dark this Friday night! There’ll be food, drinks and music for you to enjoy while exploring the aquarium’s multiple exhibits. You’ll be greeted with cocktails on arrival as you head for the Fish Bowl exhibit or to catch a glimpse of the world’s largest salt water crocodiles. Best bit? Unlimited booze! Harry Potter’s Birthday Party

Whisky lovers, this one is for you. Run by Ben Baranow, Independent’s Day is a one day festival celebrating extremely rare whiskies from Scotland, Australia, and other parts of the world! All bottlings are one-offs – which means you only get one shot to taste these babies. There’ll be whiskies from over 35 distilleries, ranging from between three and 26 years old. Tickets are $60 per person, and guarantee you one Glencairn whisky glass, food and samples from each independent bottler! This is the classiest way for you to get sloshed this weekend.

Since they’re turning one, you’re required to wear a onesie and try some new releases and experiments from Smalls’ favourite producers and collaborators.
