Barefoot Cinema

Find the perfect patch of grass and set up camp at Portsea’s stunning Point Nepean Park. This weekend’s viewing entails Proximity, followed by Rolling Stones: Ole! Ole! A Trip Across Latin America, and Despicable Me 3. Barefoot Cinema is back, and you can follow these flick fanatics around Port Phillip Bay all summer long.

Rooftop Cinema

Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you a weekend of Ryan Gosling, CBD views and a fully licensed burger bar. First in best seated, and a friendly remember we live in Melbourne, so bring a jumper (or fork out five bucks for a custom-made blanket). Saturday night previews Blade Runner 2049 and Sunday's showing Drive. Tickets range from $18-22.

Moonlight Cinema

Located on the Central Lawn at Royal Botanic Gardens, the Moonlight Cinema has food trucks, a candy bar and a fully licensed bar (oh my!). Food service stops when the film begins, so get in early! Gates open at 7pm, screen starts at sundown roughly 8.30pm.

NGV Triennial

This free exhibition celebrates the diverse art of over 100 international artists and designers. Explore a spectacular array of perspectives and expressions across all four levels of the NGV. From 2pm on Sunday, drop in for some artist-led drawing sessions (suitable for all kidults).

South Melbourne Night Markets

South Melbourne Night Market is turning 10, and what better way to celebrate double digits than stuffing your face with a raclette and buttermilk fried chicken tenderloins? Every Thursday for the next eight weeks, Coventry and Cecil St will be bustling with food, market stalls, live entertainment and activities perfect for every age and taste bud.

So Freshtival

The Holy Grail of the early 2000s has landed itself one night in the naughtiest corner of Smith St. The Gaso will be playing only the hottest hits from the ‘00-’09 So Fresh albums. Say no more? Tickets are $15 online and $20 on the door.

Barkley Square Open Air Cinema

The team at Sole Motive have confirmed you can shed silly seasons extra KGs with the KMs of hills and beaten tracks at Point Nepean’s National Park. Choose between a 100m undie run, and a four or eight KM charity run. Hill sprints included!

Arboria

This Saturday, Fed Square is getting a momentary makeover. Imagine a giant inflatable walk-in sculpture with a labyrinth of tunnels and domes paying homage to the shapes, colours and sounds of the forest. Art, man. Tickets range from 15-18 bucks.

One Block Summer Series

Opening the doors of his winery for the very first time (and for four days only!!) Jayden Ong is blessing our Sunday with a deluxe BBQ spread, wine tasting and live music.
