Spring Food Truck Weekend
The folks at the Preston Food Truck Park are clearly just as excited for Spring as we are! Say hello to the sunshine by indulging in some epic eats from your favourite food trucks, grabbing some flowers from the flower market, and having a groove some epic DJ sets. This three-day event is also a fundraiser for Daffodil Day, and will be supporting the Cancer Council through a raffle! We’re expecting epic things from this one.
Melbourne Writers Festival
Kicking off this weekend, the prestigious Melbourne Writers Festival is back for 2016! This is the oldest literary fest held in Australia and promises big things. Writers like Molly Crabapple, Richard Flanagan, and Tim Costello will feature – and there’s a bunch of events you can attend all throughout the festival. There’ll even be a Roald Dahl exhibition to trigger some major childhood nostalgia! Check out the program here.
Vogue Fashion’s Night Out
Melbourne Spring Fashion Week is here, and that means it’s time for Vogue’s Fashion Night Out! Cheese making class by Locavore
Fromage lovers, this one’s for you. Locavore Studio are hosting a cheese making workshop this Saturday where you get to make mozzarella, halloumi, ricotta and quark! The class will go for a whopping five hours (so you know you’ll get the bang for your buck), and will include morning tea, lunch with wine, and all the cheese made on the day to take home (obvs)! Tickets are $150 per person and will satisfy all your cheesy craves.
Live N Local
Finishing up this Saturday, the Live N Local fest in St Kilda is shouting you a bunch free live music performances! Thanks to St Kilda Fest and the City of Port Phillip, Melburnians can enjoy over 50 great emerging and established artists – playing in an array of different locations. There’s no better way to dance those winter blues away than with some of these jam seshes. So go on, have a boogie. This weekend a bunch of live acts will feature, making for the perfect end to winter.
Veneziano Coffee Cupping Class

Camberwell Market Celebrates 40 years
This weekend, the Camberwell Sunday Market is celebrating its 40th year as Melbourne’s best place to find a vintage gem! To revel this milestone, the Balwyn Rotary are helping fundraise at the market. Since the creation of the Camberwell market, they’ve raised $15 million for charity! Pretty impressive, huh? With over 380 stalls and hosting over 250,000 locals, it’s the perfect place to look for a bargain while helping a good cause. So head down and join the birthday celebrations!
ASEAN Street Fair
As a celebration of ASEAN Day, this festival is the ultimate homage to South-East Asian street eats. Held at the Queen Victoria Market, you get to enjoy some of the best culinary delights from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and a bunch of others! Running this Sunday from 9am to 4pm, there’ll also be some representatives from Association of South East Asia Nations (ASEAN) countries – so you can educate yourselves while noshing on delicious food. Sunday lunch at Bar Liberty
If you’re yet to make it down to Bar Liberty for their epic Sunday lunch, this weekend is your chance to do it! This is a ‘Day For Feasting,’ and guarantees to cure any post-hangover feels that you may have. For $45 per person, you get to enjoy eight delicious dishes until you’re as full as you are happy.
