It’s December, cue the Christmas lights! (Anyone who puts up decorations before December 1st is just wrong btw). Just because the holiday season is near doesn’t mean our weekend will be any less jam-packed. This week we’ve got a horror movie campout, TWOOBS and Skwoosh are hosting Summer Sessions and Scarf are letting us drink for charity!
Here are 15 awesome things to do in Melbourne this weekend:
Do More Than Drink
Need an excuse to drink up this weekend? We've got your back. A dollar from every drink sold at participating bars on Friday or Saturday will go straight towards helping Melbourne's unique not-for-profit, Scarf, as part of Do More Than Drink. From Gerald's Bar Melbourne to Section 8; STARWARD Whisky Distillery to Neighbourhood Wine—your favourite local and CBD hangouts would love to see you support this stellar cause. Help Scarf continue to provide opportunities to marginalised young people, and drink your favourite beer at the same time. For a full list of participating bars, head to the Scarf website here.
Aura Pop Up Warehouse Sale

All just in time for Christmas!
Robots, Drones, Light Speed and Augmented Reality. Sounds like a real life Sci-Fi movie. If you're interested in what the future of science and technology holds (and frankly its pretty cool), then you definitely need to check out Melbourne's two-day emergent tech festival. Future Assembly is showcasing some of the most interesting tech being developed right now. Kicking off at 11am on Thursday, the festival will be held at Town Square Pavilion in Flemington. Tickets are $89 each and you can book yours here.
