If you’re stuck inside this week, we bet you’re itching to get out and make the most of your weekend. With that beautiful weather comes an obligation to get out and make the weekend last as long as possible...while the sunshine sticks around. This is Melbourne after all. From vegan twilight markets to a whisky masterclass, there’s something for everyone this weekend.

Peninsula VineHop Festival 

For the love of vineyards! VineHop is basically a moving wine and hiphop festival. Spread across ten venues on the Mornington Peninsula, this two-day event lets you experience a spread of food and wine, while listening to the sweet sounds of live bands and DJs. VineHop features a range of vineyards and breweries, and has a few different transport packages to choose from, so you can have that extra glass of pinot without worry.

Del Kathryn Barton exhibition at NGV

Let your imagination run wild and your feminist flag fly at Del Kathryn Barton’s NGV exhibition, The Highway is a Disco. Made up of paintings, sculpture and film, the exhibition touches on themes of femininity and mythology. Deep.

Jack Daniel’s Barrel House

Live music, barbeque and (of course) whisky are on the cards when the Jack Daniel’s pop-up Barrel House returns this weekend. 40 Aussie acts like Japanese Wallpaper and The Aston Shuffle will grace the party hub, and a massive southern inspired menu including pulled pork and BBQ sauce is on offer too. Yee-haw!

ICYMI we’ve teamed up with Coca-Cola Australia and GG EZ to create a magical (read: delicious) cocktail using Coke Plus Coffee as an ingredient. Concocted by the oh-so fabulous Lachlan McAllister himself, The Covfefe Cup is waaaaay better than it sounds. Think Malibu, white rum, almond syrup and Coke Plus Coffee, mixed up with golden tapioca pearls and coconut jellies. See you there.

Gin Club At The Mill House

Cheeky mid-wee drinking sesh? Don't mind if we do. Gin Club offers gin-lovers, foodies and your average G&T enthusiast a variety of canapés, cocktails and the opportunity to learn about heaps of different gins. Seeing as it isn’t quite Friday yet, pairing your dance floor antics with a gin lesson is the perfect way to balance those ‘it’s almost the weekend but it’s not quite’ vibes. Bottoms up.

Goose Island Sweet & Sour Doughnuts 

What do you get when a brewhouse teams up with a doughnut bakery? Bloating. That's what you get. Beans & Brews At Maker 

Goose Island keeps the good times rolling this week—this time with an exclusive beer and coffee collab, thanks to the team at Maker. We’re sure you’ve spent many Friday nights sinking whisky, but have you ever woken up Saturday morning and had the urge to find out how it’s made and why it’s so damn good? Well, now you can. The Half-Baked Whisky Master Class gives you a chance to meet four distillers, see what they do and how they do it, and be apart of a handful of people to taste whisky that isn't even available for public sale. Fancy AF.

Soundvision Festival

Join REMI, The Bombay Royale, Yeo and a ton of other great artists at Soundvision Festival. If you’re looking to score some family brownie points, dragging the little ones along to the Kids Heart Disco is the way to go. Wrapping up Melbourne Music Week is an event that's sure to have you grooving into Monday with very pleased ears. The Melbourne Town Hall has over 25 artists playing across its three levels this Sunday. Think DJ sets in Council Chambers, dance parties on the Pertico Balcony and Grand Organ performances in the Main Hall. Booya!

American Thanksgiving With Wild Turkey

You don’t have to be American to celebrate Thanksgiving this year, with Union Electric throwing an epic pop-up event that’ll leave you feeling truly thankful (and full!). So, if you can’t wait ‘til Christmas to get your turkey and cranberry fix, then this star-spangled shindig Is where you need to on Sunday November 26th. An American-style BBQ will be serving up all the trimmings from lunchtime and the Wild Turkey will be flowing into the night, so be prepared to unbutton those pants post feed.
