Melbourne is basically a next level socialite, keeping its calendar full to the brim with one boozey event after another. This weekend (between laneway wine bars, gin distillery openings and brekky for dinner festivals) Melbourne's keeping itself busy with 24 art installations and Daria-themed parties. Oh and did we mention, this weekend Melbourne is turning 182 (years young, of course). You owe your city a drink...or five.

So without further ado, here's our list of things to do this weekend.

All Weekend

QV Laneway Series

There's always a first for everything, and for QV, it's their QV Laneway Series. The Series is a seasonal program of ongoing interactive outdoor events and officially kicks off this weekend. Taking centre stage first up will be Light/Play, featuring work from Danish artist, Tine Bech. Tine's latest work will essentially create an interactive environment between artist and audience. And the best part? The exhibit is open 24 hours until September 10, just in case you have nothing to do at 4am.
